My sister will be in town this weekend with some friends playing in a tennis tournament up in The Woodlands. They'll be staying up there and want to go out one night for some dancing and live bands. Anywhere up that way that has that?

Not a fan of the berbs but I hear the Woodlands is getting a pretty nice bar scene kind of like Clear Lake.

I know there is a Sams Boat and if you drive a little the Willobrook (sp) Mall has a Baker Street pub. I hooked up with some woman from Tomball there one night (she was dam nice, two kids and a crazy ex though)

There is a Baker's Street right by Woodlands Mall, it's brand new, and they always have live music on the weekends. Right down the waterway is also a new Irish Pub but I haven't been there during prime time music time.

There is Sam's Boat like you mention and another more upscale type place right behind it but the name slips me right now. Just go right behind Sam's Boat. Can't miss it.

It's not the Woodlands, but it's not too far....Howling Coyote on FM1960. Nice place, great live blues music, big dancing area.

I remeber when it was only 19th Hole, Rookies, & Molly's in the Woods. Had to go down 1960 for any dancing.

    me too...

i've never been, but i'm told goose's acre is a pretty kick ass bar. i think it's on the waterway. owned by the same guys that own brian oneill's in the village, and same concept - authentic irish bar transported to the states.

molly's is good too... try BLVD if you want more of the club scene (which you shouldn't), it's right next to Sam's.

Well, none of this is for me, only for four newly 40 year-olds. :)

What happened to the days when the tallest structure in The Woodlands was the McCullough water tower?

    Good times. Good times.
