WTF? Only around 15% of the jersey swatches used to make this "ultimate jersey" were from Topps. (Why you gotta hate on the industry leader?) Last time I checked, too, Topps was the only card manufacturer to guarantee the authenticity of its jersey relics. Therefore, I'll bet roughly half of the swatches on this jersey are fake or from another (lesser) player's jersey. Plus, like others mentioned in his Q&A, he would have easily gotten more money for the relic cards than for the entire stupid jersey.

Yeah, I'm sure someone got a steal here.

that is insanely stupid... I'm sorry, I collected cards for a while and to rip open a jersey card and do this is just dumb. The value of the card is lost, the jersey isn't really worth anything and you are out a whole bunch of invested money.

I actually think it was a pretty neat idea to combine a bunch of all time greats game worn jerseys into one awesome jersey. The execution was horrible though. You take all the pieces and sew them into one complete jersey, you don't glue them onto a crappy Mets jersey and write on it with a sharpie.
