    ********WARNING SPOILERS*********

Just got back from seeing the preview of The Two Towers, shown at the end of Fellowship of the Ring. Wow. What can I say? If anyone here who is a fan of LOTR, you better go an see it now!! Pure eye candy.....Gandalf the White, Treebeard (his eye and bits of his face), the Battle of Helms Deep, and a cool scene with Gollum right at the end. The best nine bucks I've spent in a long while. See it now, dammit!!!!

Yes indeed, it was a great preview. I saw it this weekend. By the way: "The best nine bucks I've spent in a long while." Where the hell are you going to the movie at? I've seen them as high as 7 here in Houston, but not nine...

Despite the fact that I didn't really like the first one, I hate this crappy ass marketing ploy.

Why? How would you suggest they go about a better way to both market the next one while continuing to make money on this one?

Uh, the same way all other movies do. I'm all for them making money, but this was just a ploy to get a bunch of geeks back in the seats...I guess they probably would've gone to see this movie for the 17th time regardless. :D

Good Lord, are you kidding? There's a trailer for Two Towers? I've already seen the movie 4 or 5 times, I don't know if I can survive another trip, but I can't believe I missed this. Or was it just added recently as the "cheap marketing ploy" (actually, it would be a smart marketing ploy).

eh, it's no different that Toy Story or TS2 . . . "New outtakes!"

But I wouldn't see a whole damned movie just for some new outtakes. But I would've seen it for the LOTR preview.

Well as a resident GEEK BOY, I took my whole company to the NOON showing at 2:45pm....yep..I bought tickets at 2:45pm to go to the noon show, we showed up as Boromir was getting hit by the arrows...all we wanted to see was the new trailer.

IT ROCKED THE HOUSE !!!! Oh my GOD !!! Helms deep looked incredible.

I can not wait for Christmas.

OK, let's assume that I actually liked the movie enough to be really interested in the second one, but I either can't really take the time to go see it again or don't have the money to go see it again, I'd think it was ****ty that they're trying to get me to waste money on this movie just to see a trailer.

I liked Toy Story, but there was no way in hell I was going to pay at least five more dollars just to see different outtakes, which is basically the same thing. Maybe they should reward the viewers who spent so much money in the first place by doing what every other movie does, show the damn preview before other movies.

    RM95,

It is a marketing ploy, I am sure they will release a new trailer in the summer and fall.

It is also a choice as to whether to go see it or not, you chose not. The rest of us geeks chose to.

    I understand that it's a marketing ploy.

I really don't care for marketing ploys.

    Nine bucks!!!!

In London (England) it cost £10, or about $15 to see LOTR.

I've yet to see the trailers for The Two Towers but if Helms Deep is an awesome battle wait for Part 3 and Pellanor Fields.

That might just be the best battle scene in cinema history.
