Regardless of whether it means anything or not, that's a pretty epic tweet from a GM who wasn't even around back then.
Also, The greatest threat to the Rockets that season, the Sonic's, were eliminated in the first round by Nuggets. Was really hoping Warriors faced OKC in the first round and got eliminated.
I'd rather Morey tell D'Antoni to sit every single starter and rotation player in the next game. There's no amount of "rust" from missing one game that will justify another key player risking injury.
Warriors aren't the "unsolvable Kryptonite" as the Sonics were back then. This year's Rockets are better and can beat the Warriors......even without Luc....albeit tougher.
@Carl Herrera @MadMax @OTMax ??? @tinman : How do we not have more member handles named after Otis Thorpe?
Well I’ve seen one guy with his avatar, there is one guy maybe with otis but I know what mine represents most under appreciated Rocket of all time!
Ok, so we're the deepest team in the league this year and we're afraid to use it!? Green will provide on offense what Luc gave us on defense, hopefully JJ can give us a solid 12 minutes as well. Ariza's minutes will also probably trend upwards just a bit. He could have just as easily had this injury on Saturday or Sunday. If we can't beat the Pels or Twolves without Luc then we don't deserve to advance in the first place. The Warriors will have their hands full in round 1 without Steph (possibly vs. the Spurs) and are playing far worse than us right now btw.
Honest the team to get eliminate for us would be OKC Why? The reason The Sonics cheated. The Referees literally allowed them to do any and everything The consistantly ran an illegal defense They grabbed and pulled and played a form of bully ball that the Rockets Could not Counter This last game has shown me that the Refs will cheat the Rockets if they play OKC Rocket River
