Man, How awesome is this show!! once a year, the Super Bowl of the Jim Rome show, and Jeff from Richmond takes too long and gets run!!

Sports Talk Radio doesn't get much better than this.

    My early favorite...Otis in Austin.

Choose 'the one with the pony tail' was priceless!

Hell yeah, Otis was on. I'm glad Jeff in Richmond got run off, how dare he mix in 9-11 with his take, oops, he always does that.

Jim Rome is an hypocritical egotistical idiot.

It's make me laugh to think of these guys that sit at home, probably hunched over a piece of paper in the corner just waiting for that next great line (probably involving the word "mullet" or assssssssssss) they can use during the next Smackoff, and possibly win the greatest honor they have ever known. All the while their wife cries in he background because her husband won't talk to her and barely notices she is alive. For some reason that is the image I get, and because of that I can't take any of them seriously even for a second...even just to laugh at their jokes.

I think the conversations at home go like this:

Husband: "War....AND PEACE! HA HA HA! War and peace, honey! I thought up some great SMACK!"
Wife: "It looks like we are bankrupt. You forgot to make the last three house, car and utility payments, and all our money is gone because you haven't been to work in 4 months."
Husband: "Yeah, that's a good one, alright. Ooh...here's another one! 'Hey Jeff in Richmond, you're more like Jeff in Poormond!' YEAH! War Jeff in Poormond! What do you think?"
Wife: "I'm taking my life today. The angel of death is upon me."
Husband: "What? No, that doesn't work. It has to have the word 'War' in it."

    Dan in DC came strong!!!

"The only good thing to come out of 13 consecutive rainy days in DC is Jenna and Barbara walking around in wet T-shirts" - my man got off!

I predict he wins smackoff 2003.

why Sean the Cablinasian is my favorite..

"I'm sure people are dissapointed that Anna Kournikova pulled out due to her back injury, but she spends most of her time on her back anyway."

"Remember the 13 year old girl who won the spelling bee in 97? well she's 19 now and she's probably had her first off screen orgasm, or maybe not."

I think Dan in DC is gonna win....

After the first two hours...it's a close call...I still like Otis but it's neck-and-neck with Sean, the Cablanasian. Definitely the best Smackoff since Rome came on the air in Houston.

Oh yeah...Jim in Fall River had a great call...it's way too close to call. I'm still waiting for Kerwin to call.

I actually remember watching that spelling bee.

I was wondering what the hell she was doing. She was already celebrating. Then all of a sudden, she was screaming out the letters. I was like damn, what the hell is wrong with this girl?

    I am going with Sean.

    Why Sean?

Because the Jungle hasn't been that good since 2001. That was the last time I thought the Jungle truely kicked ass.

Now it sucks kinda. I can miss it without making a big deal about it.

That Born in the NBA song was the best song he has.

When he had that line about Hemp, and then Shawn Kemp.
    Classic.

    Rack me, i'm Out.

This is priceless. Far more funny than anything I've ever heard on that radio show.

But ya know... we are posting on a BBS here... not sure how much further up the food chain we are, but at least we don't wait on hold for hours just to type half a post and get banned.

Damn! I really thought Dan had the best smack. Otis was strong too, taking about Ron Jeremy and the sheriff tripod.

top 3 after a quick commercial break.

Dan in DC got severely screwed, how the heck does he get 4th????

His call was better than Greg in Vegas by far, he should have been either 2nd or 1st.

I think Sean is from Tomball.
