I have seen much of the rest of the web. It is brutal and cruel and dark. CC.net is the light.

    this game is wack!

i don't find it fun to sit at a computer and tell these sim people when to go to the bathroom, when to take a bath and when to pick up their trash then tell them where to put it!

i hate it, anyone want to buy mine?

I liked it for about a couple of weeks, but eventually I just didn't see the point.

I need some info on this...I've seen the game advertised, etc., but I really don't know much about it--how it works, what you do, how difficult it is, etc...

    Help?

Are you looking for a statistical/text-based sim or eye-candy like NBA 2k1?

Go here and see if you can find something :

    www.sports-sim.com.

I'm thinking about getting JumpShot Basketball, but I have no idea how good it is. Basketball sims are pretty sparse unlike its baseball and football counterparts.

    As for the Sims..
You really have to use your imagination to make it fun. I mean you can only make someone use the toilet for so long.. There is a photo album for each family you make and you can make stories for each family. for instance you cant actually have one sim kill another sim in the game. But you can take pictures that intimate that that actually happened.. if you dont get sleep with a sim, eventually they will just pass out on the floor. if you put another sim next to that sim thats on the floor it looks like they did just kill them or something. you take the picture go to the photo album and type that "psycho bob" or whoever killed Mary. and of course you can make more intricate, less disturbing stories than the example i just used, but you see my point i hope. you just have to use your imagination..

plus there are expansion packs and hundreds of sites on the internet that you can download different bodies and different heads. i have angels and fat people and members of Static X walking around my neighborhoods.

the game never ends and it gets kind of tedious sometimes. but i guess im so addicted to it because something new happens everytime i play it, and the possibilities are endless.

they are also coming out with "the sims online" where you get online, make your person, and you interact with other people online who have made theirs as well. kind of like a glorified chat room. i think that might even be more addicting than this game.

now that would be pretty cool.
i used to chat using microsoft's v-chat back in the day. you could create avatars (like animated gifs) and go into rooms and places and chat with other people. it was cool cause your avatar could be unique... sim chat with people and places and the ability to create your own sim would probably more entertaining than telling a sim when to eat or wash up!!??

I think the Sims is great... Seriously...

I find it morbidly ironic that there's a computer game designed to make you get frustrated with people who waste there time around the house all day.

"NONONO!!! Get off the computer and go to work you idiot!"
