They built a new Movie Theater off of Highway 6 in Bryan. They offered $4.00 tickets, and so the older one in CS had to match the price. The one in Bryan is nice....oh...and it sells beer.
Ah, I gotcha, I think I only went to the old theater in Bryan once, the other times I went to the Cinemark
I watched it at work online. Day before vacation, therefore NO WORK. It was OK. Not a big Simpson's fan, but I laughed a few times.
Considering the sequence of posts, I don't know if that's also directed at me. It's not like I wear it w/ a badge of honor, and I'm not really defensive if it is aimed at me. It's simply the truth. And honestly, of all the people you know that watched it when they were younger, how many watch it now? None of my friends do...well maybe one. None of us have the same tv watching schedule when we were in high school. I'm not home when they have reruns somewhere between 5-7. Actually I'm not even sure if they rerun it in my area during that time now. And overall I never catch anything until after 11 pm, even on Sundays. Thank goodness Cartoon Network reruns Family Guy at 11:30 otherwise I'd be oblivious. And thanks to The Internets only now have I almost finished watching the first season of Lost. I figured it WAS worth mentioning because many are in the same boat as me. If you're out of touch w/ the series you might not expect much, or even decide not to watch it because you no longer care about the series. I'll say it again, I thought this was a good movie, and especially great if you were a fan at one time or another.
Two thumbs down for me. However I did laugh my ass off at the part where Homer is yelling "jump, jump, jump, land, land, rest ,rest" to the dogs while whipping them.
The movie was...ok, I guess. Funny, yes, it's Simpsons, but it wasn't anything special. The funniest parts of the movie were shown in the commercials. Yet I must say the dog sled scene was comedic gold.
Spoiler Did anyone see the eagle when Marge and Homer were getting dirty in Alaska and all the animals were in the bedroom? The look on that eagles face had me laughing for 10 minutes. One other guy in the back of the theater saw it too. But only us two. I guarantee if you see that eagle it will change your life. I can't describe it...
Pretty terrible. I don't think I laughed more than once in the last 30 minutes. Could've used way more of the side characters like Moe, Mr. Burns, Ralph, etc.
Saw it last night; pretty good. Whoever said it was like the old Simpsons episodes was dead on. Some of it was hit or miss, but I like how they were a little bolder because of the freedom of the movie format. Definitely worth it if you've been a Simpsons fan. Have to say, I have been pretty pleased with the summer season this year. This, Die Hard, Transformers, Knocked Up...and I'll probably top it off with Superbad pretty soon.
