We started from this thread to collect nicknames for our new Yao and T-Mac combo, and this thread is our first poll. In this poll, Dr of Dunk's "M&M" and DarkHorse's "McDynasty" won the first two places. You people have since given alot more suggestions, and some of them are pretty good ones. I've reviewed both of those two threads, and collected the decent ones and their authors to come up with this new poll. The top two vote getters in this poll will advance along with "M&M" and "McDynasty" to the FINAL FOUR poll. The top two of that poll win be int he FINAL SHOWDOWN poll which will decides the ultimate winner in our BBS. This is ALL for just fun. Please cast your votes and decide for yourself. BTW, since there will be two more polls/threads involved, if the crew feels this is a waste of bandwidth, please let me know and lock it if necessary. The poll will run for five days. Actually, there is a video game called "The Heroes of Might and Magic". It is an alltime classic game. I still play it on a regular basis. In fact, ihatehyena gave the name "Magic and Might", and I switched the two words just to go along with the game. I hope he doesn't sue me.
OMG... HMM1, 2, or 3? i ruled with the knight, warlock, and wizard respectively. lol... the little kid in me is screaming... i wanna play!
I played 2, 3, and 4. 2 was one of the first computer games I've ever played, and it rocked my world. 3 was probably my all time favorite. In my mind, that game defines everything a good computer game should be. 4 was a gigantic letdown, IMO. It enhanced the graphics to 3-D, but lost almost all its fun. The races are extremely unbalanced. Order(maybe Death) simply kill everyone else. No wonder 3DO went out of business after 4.
So, are you basing the author of these names based on who suggested them first, or last? ... just wondering. I liked Hikano049's suggestion of the Dynamic Duo in the first thread, but I believe I was the first to suggest "Double Trouble," even posted it in bold as my favorite. But, you're certainly welcome to give Hikanoo49 credit, since he suggested it again in your second thread, and probably brought it to your attention.
I made a huge mistake, Sherlock. You suggested the word "Double Trouble" on 7/7, and Hikano049 brought it up on 7/9. Based on the patent law and common sense, you should be the author of the name. I really need to apologize for this. If it advances to the next round, I will give the credit to you.
Clutch, Jeff or Dr of Dunk, would you please edit that poll and change the author of "Double Trouble" to Sherlock?
All are just terrible names. I'll stick with TMac Attack and Dynasty, Chairman Yao, Ming the Merciless.
I don't want to be rude, but you are. If you don't like any of these just stick with your own. The BBSers as whole came up with these ideas. If you don't want to be part of the poll, please stay out.
This is more like your doing not the BBS decision. It's obvious non of these name here that YOU have chosen isn't any good or catchy. Given my $.02. If you say the name(s) is awesome some will say it suck or not good. It's opinion not really trying to be rude.
