    Hey Guys,

You must go to the Red Pepper Chinese Restauraunt. This place is amazingly good! It is not a nasty-o cold gross buffett. This place is a nice sitdown restauraunt, with very reasonable prices for lunch specials. It is in the Galleria area, across the street from Treasures Strip Club. One of the workers there is a clutchfans member, not sure what his name is, but we always talk about Yao and the Rox's when im in there. You guys won't be dissapointed!

I have really benn pleased at how many decent restaurants there are on the NW side in the last 5 years. As soon as 249 was widened, places came in gangbusters.

We actually have 3 sushi places in a 5 mile perimeter, that I know of and steak places out the wahzoo.

I used to work at Duke Energy and walk over to RP occasionally, the food is pretty good but for some reason my coworker always wanted to go Feng Ling and I always thought their food was inferior to the RP, pretty good Chinese, too far for me now tho.

What's up with all the body builders that eat there tho, always wondered that?

WTF does this have to do with the Red Pepper, Treasure's, or the Galleria area?

Don't get so hyped... I thought I was hyped about my 1000th. I wanted to get up to 1 per day, and I already got that.

What matters to me is QUALITY, not QUANTITY. ;) Er, never mind... :(

Is your Red Pepper the same as mine? (ie: all raw meat & veggies are laid out buffet style. You load up a plate and bring it up to the cook, who cooks it in front of you)

no, it's nothing like that, it is just a straight up Chinese (sit down resturaunt) good food, doesn't seem like they use the cheapest meat they can find like most Chinese (buffet) places.

I can also highly recommend Yen Jing in the Willowbrook area across from Costco, it is atleast on RP level if not better.

When my wife and I got married, on our wedding night we got Chinese Delivery. (it's a funny tradition in her family) We randomly chose the Red Pepper from the Yellow Pages, and we're very pleasantly surprised! That place is great. We got delivery from there again last month for our second anniversary.

    :)

You're selling yourself! I think you averaged about 20 posts per day for your first few months here. You've slowed down... a little. :)

We should all get together at Treasures for the lunch buffet or possibly a Rockets game. That would be tight, we need more unity on the board!

I tried a new Chinese place on 290 and 43rd this weekend. They put a flyer on my door a few weeks ago, so I figured what the hell. I was pleasantly surprised.

Anyone know the place I'm talking about? I can't remember the name.

Yea, I know as I look very "sickly" compared to people like codell, SamFisher, ima_drummer2k, pgabriel, etc.

I guess I have sorta settled into a "groove", so to speak.

If you must know, the wide eyes were in response to the strip club. The rest is idle conversation.

Perhaps I threw you for a loop when I went from the West side to the NW and from Chinese to Japanese. Sorry.

I totally loogied on that good dead me.
