Maverick is one of my least favorite movies of all time. I can't stand that movie.

Signs is among my favorite movies of all time. I loved it.

Signs was awesome, one of the best movies I've seen in the theatre. Maverick was awesome man, what you been smokin?

btw - Lethal Weapon 1,2 were excellent.

yep, its all about your individual perspective.
I liked Maverick, maybe because I was a big fan of the series..
some found it to be cheesy, but i thought Gibson did an admirable job bringing back the original's style.

and also...after thinking about it...I also liked the 2nd Lethal Weapon..I wanted to like the newest one with Chris Rock..but just couldnt get into it.

I found the movie to be very uplifting and inspiring(and also scary). I guess you could say it all hinges on the scene when he is speaking to his brother about faith. That seemed to set a dark tone, but then it shifted towards the end.

The movie was shot in a strange way though, I really enjoyed it. M Night is one of my favorite directors. Joaquin Phoenix was EXCELLENT in the movie, he stole the show.

agreed...he had given up on his faith, really...losing your wife might do that..but then a chain of events transpire where his faith is resurrected. i just freaking loved that movie...crying like a schoolgirl through the last 10 minutes or so. :)

i like M. Night too...Sixth Sense was just a great movie, too.

    Man--

Whale Rider, Winged Migration, The Man Without a Past, Stone Reader, Man on the Train, Russian Ark, Nowhere in Africa, and I'm hoping Dirty Pretty Things have made this a damn good summer for movies.
