First things first, I use a Palm Pilot. I have the Palm IIIc, and I love it. I've lost it before for like a day (usually it was just under my bed) and every time I misplace it, my life totally goes to hell. It's my second brain. I've been looking at maybe getting a new one when I get a job.

A few days ago, there was a rumor on PDABuzz about a Michael Jordan Palm Pilot. I was totally stoked, as I figured it would kick ass. Unfortunately, I'll let the results speak for themselves:

Now, I love the Palm Pilot and all, but come on, IS THIS THE BEST THEY COULD COME UP WITH??? THIS IS WHY THE COMPANY IS DOING SO POORLY!!! They've got Michael Jordan endorsing their product. They could really, really jazz it up and have an awesome product that everyone will want. Instead, they write Jordan on the flip case and on the chassis. I could've done that with a white gel pen . . . That's it???? I am really disappointed.

That being said, I think that the publicity will be good for Palm, but I really think they're blowing an excellent opportunity to really stand out among the other handhelds. No other company has MJ!!

I read the article a week or so ago and was expecting something a bit uuuh... different. All I see is a m100 with Jordan's name on it. Pathetic. I wish Sony had done this with their Clie's. Those things at least look awesome and offer better functionality.

As much as I dislike Windows CE er, "Pocket PC", I think Palm is totally screwing itself time and time again. They're producing mediocre product after mediocre product, and not coming up with anything innovative and new. And then they pay (what must be) lots of money for Jordan's endorsement, and what do they make? THIS POS!! They could be doing so much with this, but they're not. Palm will be gone in 5 years if it doesn't pull its head out of its nether regions . . .

Is it the "Palm Jordan" or the "Palming Jordan"?

I always thought "With my talent, it's only a matter of time before I'm discovered". Now I think "With my talent, it's only a matter of time before I'm found out".

w**** Jordan will put his name on anything.

20 years from now he'll be doing that same commercial with the 2 ladies on the park bench except instead of selling underwear it will be for adult diapers.

Also his cologne smells like a truck stop urinal.
