Ok... we have McGrady! Now can we sign free agents during this moratorium period of July 1st - 15th? What does the cap space look like? and what are realistic forecasts from this point on?

    Please somebody elaborate.

We got the 6.9 Mill Trade exception which we can use. we Also have the MLE so Hopefully if all goes well, we can Sign a couple of descent players with!

Starting PG and backup C are the priorities now. If it takes both the TE and MLE to get quality players, then do it.

Was the Howard + 1st rounder for Chandler + Hinrich talk just a bunch of BS? If not, I would not be scared to have Hinrich as our "weakest" starter. Then we'd still have the MLE and TE to focus on quality backups at the 3, 4, and 5.

Unfortunately, the Rox don't have the #1 to trade as the Magic did.

Edit - for the main point of the thread, no FA can be signed during the moratorium, but negotiations can take place.

try 2 get rid 1st either Mo or Howard. then for backup C: Foyle for 2 PG: Fisher or Arroyo/ Hudson or Claxton (we need a starter and backup PG)

yes. i hope one is more of a vet for leadership and the other is more of a young'n so we can still be good in the future with yao and Tmac under 25.

i think barry would be a perfect fit, but giving up the full MLE to one player may hurt us when we need to fill so many holes. i think claxton and arroyo would be great too. we may even be able to pick up snow for the TE.

however, this trade has taught me something. we have to do what it takes to get the best player we can (for what we are looking for). and if we are looking to add a PG tandem, we must start with barry for MLE and then move on.

    next step, PG shopping :D
