Yeah kudos to Bud Black for keeping Peavy on normal rest and not putting him out on the hill yesterday. Although Peavy won't be available for the first 2 games of the NLDS, he has a good chance of winning this game tonight and advancing the Padres. Every team has a legitimate chance to catch fire and win it all once they get into postseason play as evidenced by the Cards last season.

Good question. I almost typed that his evidence is the same as the one he came up with for saying that Pearl Jam and Nirvana and other bands like that were terrible while Creed and Nickelback were good. As of a couple of years ago: 60% white, 28% latin, 10% black, 2% other.

And the Phillies. And the Cubs. And the Yanks. And the Sox. I'll be rooting for the other 4 teams. Angels are the best team I've seen this year; only saw Cleveland play 1 game, though.

 

But they're distinctly the second team of NY and tend to have more of a working-class fanbase. They play in a dogsh-t awful stadium, one of the worst in baseball, underneath a flight path. I can understand being envious of or hating the Yankees for various reasons but knowing the Mets and their fans its harder to understand it.

 

They had Kaz Matsui for the last two years but he sucked.
