I'm guessing that he's more remembered for his academic troubles than his shot-blocking abilities.

Was there something about Collier in that article? Or am I just blind?

    It's a comparison, I guess.

See how cson mentions how "nobody ever mentioned Collier together with McHale."

I guess he really regrets the fact that we pulled the trigger on the trade.

    RM95,

    Why do you say that?

Those draft reports can make anyone sound like a superstar. Here were a few comparisons: Kenyon Martin to Rasheed Wallace, Darius Miles to Kevin Garnett, Deshawn Stevenson to Michael Jordan (check nbadraft.net)

But you still don't get it. NBA.com is doing a special on the top 13 picks in the draft. Remember, this is the official site of the NBA. They won't dare say anything at all negative about their own players. They will just make him sound as good as they can. If Collier were a top 13 pick, you'd have an article pretty much exactly like that about him. Is it right? No. But it's nba.com, and if you believe all the comparisons you read you are stupid.

Ace, the caption under his picture said that he'd be best remembered for his block shotting abilities.

To tell you the truth, I'd never heard of him until the whole Minnesota academic debacle.

    Cson,

Did you ever watch a preseason game? I never saw even a spark from Langhi. Collier had several good moments, including an impressive final game. Langhi scored on average about 1 ppg and played about 4 or 5 minutes, with several DNP's. If you're basing this on the preseason, there's no way that I could see anyone ranking Langhi ahead of Collier.

(Yes, I still believe Langhi will be a good player, I'm just using his preseason as an example here to prove my point, cause I don't see any way you can say in the preseason Langhi was better than Collier.)
