The play was definitely the coaches fault, why P&R when MAC is gonna shoot a 3. Maybe they want MAC to get a tough shot since he always somehow make them (used to anyways )
wonder if tmac can be as clutch as kobe..we would have won 30+ games ,,,in terms of salaries,,,,they supposed to be at the same level......but damn it,,,,tmac is not worth that much..
It shouldn't have come to a last play. The call for a PnR is fine. What the Rockets wanted out of that was penetration, and then a number of options should open up. Yao or T-Mac at the basket, a McGrady midrange jumper, or perhaps a 3-pointer in the corner. Also, with Yao going to the basket, if a shot is taken relatively early, then he has position to get the offensive rebound. McGrady couldn't turn the corner, he decided to take the 3-pointer. A questionable decision, but if it goes in we'd say its a great play. What was Yao doing? The ball was tipped, and it sails right over his head without him realizing it. Am I the only one who was frustrated throughout the game with Yao's clumsiness, obliviousness of his surroundings, and lack of concentration? Has he perhaps been taking medication? It was a totally unacceptable performance from him. He's now the undisputed best player on the team, and he better start acting like it on a consistent basis. No more excuses about him not getting enough touches when he's fumbling the ball left and right.
Are the Rockets the worse team at executing set plays in the league? I mean every other team seems to get a decent shot off. The Rockets are just plain horrible.
We are the worst at executing set plays. and the worst fast break team. Surprised we are even contending with these problems.
Thank you. Everyone needs to stop blaming Tracy. It was Rick's job to call the play, and he did. He needed to get Yao the ball. Dumb play calling.
Tracy was great...until the 4th. Artest was garbage on offense...which is looking like the norm. Yao was...I don't even know how to describe that.
Rick Adelman. Seems as lost as this dude... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zg5ej7Eui30&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zg5ej7Eui30&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Yeah, except Yao has zero chance for an offensive rebound if he's called to set the pick. That pick was really, really questionable and I just have some real doubts as to whether that was the play Adelman drew up. Maybe that's why he's furious.
Agreed, I doubt he would call him Lady to his face... He would be all over his n**s asking for an autograph.
man,,,the guy just came back from injuries, it is ok to be rusty. the thing i am more concerned is our coaching. we donot have a championship caliber coach, despite we are far from a contender for the championship. with adelman, i donot see us going anywhere in playoffs.
Could not agree more. What about that jump ball when Yao wasn't even paying attention. Obviously the last shot. The ball went right over him. Missing a crucial free throw.
He came back from missing two games. Big whoop. Adleman has a healthy team for 3 games this year. But we have lost all 3. So I don't even know what to think. This team has to get it together. There is was too much freakin talent on this team to be jacking around like this.
Until Tmac has proven that he is FULLY healthy and playing up to his standards he has no business getting the last shot in the game. Why cant Adelman see the truth, that Tmac is not ready to be the man again yet? We all see it. Why cant he?
Drive to the mutherfuggin hole and force contact to draw a foul. Worst case scenario if you miss at least someone has a chance to get a tip in or something. It's not Rocket science. The kinda shot that Mac threw up was **** when you have like 1 second left on the game clock.
