As an older guy I watched both Speed Racer and Get Smart a lot as a kid so you'd think that I would be in the target audience for both of these new films. First, movie version of old TV shows are always hit or miss but one thing that the producers absolutely, positively have to get right is to cast the hot chick role perfectly. It can make or break your desire to see the flick. Sarah Michelle Geller as Daphne was a good casting and I've just found out that Anne Hatheway is going to play Agent 99. I personally find Anne Hatheway hot so I'm looking forward to the new Get Smart movie. However, what were they thinking when they cast Christina Ricci as Trixie? Ricci is such a freak and is totally NOT hot. It's totally ruined my anticipation for Speed Racer. No wonder the the flick is tanking.
