Michael Kopper, former assistant to Enron Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow, pleads guilty to fraud charges. http://money.cnn.com/2002/08/21/news/companies/enron/ Well, this definitely puts Fastow in the government crosshairs, but what about Jeff Skilling and Ken Lay? It's been almost a year since Enron imploded, and we finally get the first indictment/guilty plea/conviction. I can live with the delay if it is due to the government carefully building a case, dotting their i's and crossing their t's. How will y'all feel if Fastow gets indicted and Skilling and Lay get exonerated, and get to keep their ill-gotten gains? Do you think Kopper's partner will go on TV and plead poverty like Linda Lay? How do y'all feel this whole sordid mess will finally play out? Opinions please.
you wish . .. . They rich . . they will get off . . . even if convicted I'd say less than 5 yrs each Rocket River
I think there will be enough to exonerate Lay...or maybe I should say not enough to tie him to actual knowledge of everything. I think Skilling is in trouble...
