Man, watching him the past few games and the Suns game, he has finally figured out that he's 7'6 and he is a man to be reckoned with. I think in the final 21 games, we are going to see the dominance and presence of Hakeem in him as a center.
Glad to see him finally get some respect from the refs. He played great tonite, but definitely got some superstar calls.
well, im not gonna expect anything..cos we've heard this all bfore. just when we think he's turned the corner, he goes back to his passive old self. im happy with his performances the last 2 games, but thts all ...i'm not gonna keep my hopes up
No player can be great without getting the calls. Shaq would foul out before the end of the 1st half in every game if the refs call it by the book.
Yao Ming realized tonight that he can play basketball however he wants. The League should be scared ****less, it's not often a player comes around and takes over a game night in night out. I'm excited. Go Rockets. Yes I'm posting about the rockets. Go Rockets. HOLY **** WE RULE!!!!!!
I'm also scared to raise my expectations of Yao. I will be satisfied with a heart led effort no matter that stats.
As awesome a game as Yao had, for him to "turn the corner" it will all revolved on consistancy. We have seen big games from Yao in the past that have gotten us excited, but then we end up seeing those turkey performances he puts in as well. Perhaps with JVG's new strategy of NOT taking Yao out if he picks up early fouls will lead to Yao being more relaxed and thus playing more aggressively and thus then getting more rebounds, blocks and foul calls going his way. This MAY lead to the "coming of Yao." Let's see how he does from here on out.
consistency. consistency. consistency. The only player who can stop Yao is himself. The only player who can stop Yao is himself. The only player who can stop Yao is himself.
I think you're right on. He will have some bad games. He might be terrible tomorrow having blown his wad on this game. But he'll come back.
That's not all http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92715 Can anybody think of a cool p*rn star name for Yao?
I agree. If you looked at that game as being an outsider not a rocket fan, You would see that Yao was suppose to dominate with Phoenix playing small ball. He was simply tipping the ball to himself over the outstretched hands of Jimmy Jackson and McCarthy.
