I thought we did our part in helping blow the game but at the same time I don't know how long refs are going to let people arm-lock and push our players around at the end of games to maybe make things more interesting. Anyways the guys at fourthandfifty.com had a pretty good take on the end of the game, here's the link let them know what you think. http://fourthandfifty.com/2009/03/01/worst-30-seconds-of-houston-rockets-basketball-ever/#more-664
Yao picked up a bunch of stupid fouls in this game. He should be better than that. Also Adelman was freaking r****ded to leave Yao out there in the first half for so long he could barely walk. I have a feeling that being gassed was one of the reasons Yao commited some stupid fouls. Also why wasn't the ball thrown at Yao at all during the 4th quarter. That fronting defense is not good. Yao is freaking 7'6. Throw a bullet pass to his head. If he can't catch it, its his fault for being clumsy. There were moments that Yao was free in post but Brooks hesitated giving the defender enough time to get in front of Yao. If he can't get open in the post Yao needs to get open elsewhere, he's got good range on his jumpshot, hell he doesn't even need to jump. Yao needs to quit playing like a giant stiff and demand the freakin ball.
how much would you have won? I once hit a 5 team baseball parlay, won about five hundred something bucks. Salvaged my Vegas trip with that win.
Bet $100 to win $1800. Would have been a nice day. To make things even better after the Rockets lost, I got my first ever speeding ticket!
There were several "momentum calls" made by the refs that were really bad. Yao's 5th wasnt one of them. Yao's 4th was.(Bulls were on a run, and had trimmed 6 or 7 points off the lead to begin the quarter) When Yao came back in with 5 fouls Miller was trying like hell to get a flop call for Yao's 6th. I think that is why Yao wasnt as aggressive as getting his position down low. And with the way the Bulls had momentum down the stretch, I could really see them calling Yao's 6th on a flop.
Seemed like Adelman played as if the 1st half meant everything between winning and losing. Yao didn't get a breather until sometime in the 2nd quarter. Meanwhile, guys like Barry, Hayes, and Deke, don't see as much time (or any) as they should, especially on the first game of a back to back. At some point you gotta rest the starters and put in the full-scale bench. Trust in them and they shall deliver.
Adelman is an idiot for not resting Yao. Are we the only ones that know Yao is pretty much useless when he is gassed? I don't think Yao should be playing full quarters.
Too much Artest in the 4th and careless shots caused the Rockets this game. Lowry should have played in the 4th to guard Rose.
