When the Rockets scored xxx number of points in the early eighties, All chicken chain's places used to redeme the ticket stuff for a free chicken dinner. What ever happen to them? I think the name was Ron's, but I am not sure. WHo bought them out? Dunleavy was know as the chicken man since he usually hit the shot in garbage time to put us over the top.
The now give free Big Macs when the Rox score over 100 points or hold an opponent under 80 in home games. You just bring your ticket stub to McDs.
Many (all?) of Ron's was bought out by Church's. Ron's had some of the greasiest, best-tasting chicken in town... and yeah, Mike Dunleavy was the Chicken Man, and of course Billy Paultz was The Whopper. Ah the age of fast food...
I am pretty sure it was 135 points and Dunleavy kept hitting the pivotal shot. And...after googling, I am sure it was 135 points: http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/rox/2248060
