Wow Moultrie's got a nice shot! <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JQR4UJK7Hn8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/xG4Ocyzq7-c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Why is Jeremy Lin working out here? Somebody tell him he's already in the league.
Yes, he does. Very soft hands and great release. I like it. But he's taking 18-20 footers, the worst shot in basketball, and a shot that big men keep trying to perfect to provide "spacing". However, a true spacing big can shoot the 3-ball. When I see vids like this, I want to ask, "Why aren't you showing him shooting the 3? Is it because his efficiency goes down significantly?" Because if he was good at shooting the 3, believe me, they'd have video up of it because that would raise him up in the draft and make him a lot mo money. So, while I like this kid, I like his length, I like his soft hands, I think he has the ability to play some post in the right matchups and to take his man out to the top of the key in other matchups, I don't view him as much more than a role player at this point because his skillset is good but not great. On another note, MKG has an obvious hitch in his shot release. If he doesn't correct it, it will limit his shooting range and accuracy from distance. The guy has the intensity and motor of a superstar. But he needs to get corrective coaching and apply that intensity to smoothing out his shot mechanics instead of banging medicine balls off concrete walls.
