Not sure if you guys have ever heard of this band, but they are very good, and very funny. They have been around for a while, but their current single, Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo, really turned me on to their music. I couldn't really classify them- they have some punk songs, but they use a lot of electronica (techno) music, as well as white-boy rap (not spinning).

To give you an idea of what they are about, the video for Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo features Bam Marguera driving around in a car that's been tricked into a giant peeled bananna. At the end, he drives into a tunnel. Funny stuff. But don't get me wrong- these guys aren't Weird Al type musicians. They have talent (although I love Al).

Anyway, they are definately worth checking out, especially for those of you who appreciate the finer points of South Park-type humor.

Have you listened to any of their old albums? I've listened to these guys for a long time, but I've never really been a fan. I like their music, but I don't really follow them. But the ones I've heard on previous albums were - to me - better than that one. I don't know the lyrics to that one yet, but just watching that video one day I didn't like it as much as their older songs. But doesn't the guy in the banana drive into the tunnel and then back out and drive in again repeatedly? I seem to remember them making it look like a 40 foot banana was engaging in intercourse of the sexual variety with a mountain.

Yea love that song off of "Hooray For Boobies", thats the only cd I have of theirs, was surprised their songs sort of have a rock feel to it. They have that new album out, but I read on allmusic that its pretty crappy and not very original. I would have to hear some songs before I go buy it

I'm surprised that you haven't heard of them before. They had a pretty decent hit with the "do it like they do on the Discovery Channel" song.

And I agree with Mope-lovers. That song truly kicks ass. "Falco?"

Yeah, "Hooray for Boobies" is in my car's CD player actually. There's some wierd stuff like "A Lapdance is So Much Better When the Stripper is Crying" "Yummy Down on This" and "Dear Chasey Lain" but "Mope" is actually pretty funny and "The Bad Touch" is humorous just because it reminds me of the video (them dressed in monkey outfits running around Paris kidnapping people so they can dance).

My wife is a big Bloodhound Gang fan.

She was trying to get me to learn "You're Pretty When I'm Drunk" to play in my piano show. I had never heard it and she couldn't remember if it would be too dirty to sing, so she had me call her mom so her mom could read me the lyrics over the phone. Let's just say that the lyrics were bad enough that it was an uncomfortable conversation for me since I didn't really know her mom that well back then.

If you look up the lyrics you can imagine how it was uncomfortable for both of us.

FU*K the bloodhound gang!!! I'd personally shoot them if I ever see them on the streets! I wonder what kind of people would support these racist Motherf**kers...

    Yellow Fever Lyrics

Are those num-chucks in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
Let me take you back to the day that I met my China girl
When I landed a 'Pam' like on the San Fran Real World
I was sweating like a vegetable inside of a wok
I'd never been to Asia Minor but I was gonna Bangkok
Like Kristy Yamaguchi I had to break the ice
Should I talk about Mothra M*A*S*H or shrimp-fried rice?
I was sharp as a Chinese star but it's a line I threw
Just thirty seconds over Tokyo and this Johnny would Woo
I took a shot like Jeanette Lee put on my moves like Bruce Lee
I told he every Soon Yi needs a little Woody
She said for all the tea in China my vagina's not free
But my love will linger longer than the Ming Dynasty
I said I needed her to do and her to do my laundry
I knew she needed a way to stay legally within the country
She was made in Taiwan I said I'm O.K. with that
Just promise me you'll never try to eat my cat
Chinky chinky bang bang I love you
Chinky chinky bang bang I know you love me too
In Japan the hand is used as a knife
In Japan a man's wife's hand job than can cost him his life
But now this Captain Kirk has his own Sulu
I'll shampoo her Foo Man Chu with Lo Hung Wang Goo
Cause I ride my slant-eyed slope like a brand new Kawasaki
Oh me chinky she's so kinky got me hot like Nagasaki
Burnin' up like Napalm burstin' like an A-bomb
I think I got that jungle fever but I caught it in 'Nam
She's like an oriental rug cause I lay her where I please
Then I blindfold her with dental floss and get down on her knees
I'm a diving Kamikaze eating out Chinese
First I'll have the poo-poo platter than some tuna sushi
She'll be screaming like Godzilla and kickin' like Jackie Chan
I'll get her redder than China wetter than the Sea of Japan
Like the Chinese New Year she's gonna see fireworks
Now be a good chinky and press Jimmy's shirts
Chinky chinky bang bang I love you
Chinky chinky bang bang I know you love me too
    Sing chinky sing
    One more time
Chinky chinky bang bang I love you
Chinky chinky bang bang I know you love me too
Chinky chinky bang bang chinky bang
Chinky chinky bang biddily biddily biddily bang

Are you offended because maybe you are yellow or you have bad taste in music?

Not everyone likes Jin, ya know.

Mocking Asians in a degrading way is funny to you? I guess making fun of Black people in a degrading way will amuse you aslo.

If these White men wrote a similar song about Black people and use the words ***** instead of chink, fried chicken instead of rice, dirt skin instead of slanted eyes, etc., would it be funny to you? Would it be funny to Black people?

Well ,**** you! Chink is racial slur! Every line in the lyrics is degrading Asians, not just Chinese people! Why don't you say the word ***** openly when you see Black people(if you're not Black)????

And no, I do not like Jin -- never bought or own any of his music!

The idea I get of the Bloodhound Gang is that they are just trying to be funny, and in this particular case they were trying to be as politically incorrect as possible. I suspect they don't really think that - they just wrote the most politically incorrect song I could think of (at least on this topic) to get a reaction out of people.

If you took them seriously, you would have to believe that they really enjoyed lap dances more when the stripper was crying, among other things...

What would be their purpose in writing this song??? What don't people understand from the song??? It's clear that the song is degrading to Asians and the purpose is to mock Asians!

Just because they aren't(don't seem) serious, they should get a free ticket to write a racially offensive song??? So you think it's perfectly fine when White comedians use the word ***** and degrade Blacks(or any non-White group for that matter) in their routines? Because you know, they're just COMEDIANS -- Black people shouldn't take them seriously. Right? Would it make a difference that Jerry Seinfeld is mocking your mom at her funeral than Bill Clinton mocking your mom at her funeral?

It seems people just see things in Black and White! I bet the bloodhound gang wouldn't write a similar song about Blacks. And I bet most of the White people wouldn't mess with Black people but they'd think it's fine, or they wouldn't hesitate, to mock Asians. The posts in this thread are perfect examples. Would it be the same if the song, with its negative racial overtones, is about Black people instead of Asians??? Would you view the song the same way???
