Royce white is the truth we finally found our dude.... I think. He is very good In front of the camera on and off the court and that's what it takes to be a superstar in the nba nowadays. I really hope the rockets give this guy 30 min a night from the start and put the ball in his hands and let him fight through his struggles on the court this guy is a leader and someone I think the fans can get behind much like Yao. His story is to good and people seem to like him all this may seem stupid but there is truth to it. We in Houston like the good guys and Royce is one of those special people that enter pro sports every so often let's just hope he's a bad man on the court but with proper coaching and trust he can be our guy.
Really excited about our rookies and can't wait for Summer League. I feel like we got really chill guys who won't upset the locker room. Though at first glance he looks slow and disinterested, Lamb is a goofball. White is a silent leader. As for Jones, there was that news story about how he injured a cheerleader and later brought her flowers. I'm with you OP. I'm really optimistic about these guys.
Jeremy Lamb seems perfect for McHale. In that clip he cant do anything but shoot from perimeter. He cant create anything for himself. I think he is a perfect McHale fit. McHale's offense is all about perimeter jays and 3s. Royce White looks pretty good in those clips, dude has a lot of ways he can score, he likes to score closer to the rim as opposed to further away from the rim. This will probably hurt his chances to play for McHale. Found this phat clip with run dmc track <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DrzVBDoneZI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Pair them together with Dmo at center and Parsons as the ultimate glue guy/defender. We are looking at dynasty!
Royce dunking on/past(mostly past) the #1 pick. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JI4zkFEP7D0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The problem is though, these big three won't get you anywhere. Let's take a good example of a great young team in the early 90s who did something special: Denver Nuggets. Up until 91-92 they were a run and gun team, even more so than Adelman, and changed directions in 92-93. They had bad seasons back-to-back so had some nice picks (#5 and #13) which they used wisely on Bryant Stith and LaPhonso Ellis. They were immediate starting material. They had an established veteran in Reggie Williams and a great shooter in Chris Jackson. Prior to the season they picked up an underrated bull in Robert Pack. In 93-94 they added another great rookie in Rodney Rogers, added Brian Williams (Bison Dele) and Tommy Hammonds in his fifth year finally started to become a valuable back up. They went to war with all these guys and were 1 game away of making it to the WCF where imho they could've beaten the Rockets. Them and the Spurs had winning records that season over us and with their confidence high, it's no telling how things would've went. Now you're probably thinking I forgot to mention a key player and one of the biggest reasons they were able to stun the basketbal world by beating Seattle: Dikembe Mutombo! See, the Rockets are like the Nuggets in the way they are changing directions, try to pick up some undervalued / underused players, playing the rookies (hopefully) and hoping a few guys will step it up (Patterson, I am looking at you!). However what is missing is obviously the #1 need for this team: the franchise player, that top 3 pick that will carry you and in our case a center would definitely be the position we could use one. Davis would've been that guy and would've made this team a great young team that could make some noise. The way the team is shaped now, not so much. There's too many question marks first regarding the direction the team is going and second, whether we are terrible enough to get Noel in next year's draft so we can maybe have a shot at making some noise with a young team. To me, we are a center / top pick / great rookie away from maybe repeating what the Nuggets did in 1994. We don't have a big three and I don't expect them to be here but it would nice to see them develop together. The Nuggets did it the right away, given that they got a top pick first, have some veterans mixed with young talent that you develop together and give opportunity to start. Confidence was the key to that team coming back from 2-0 down to beat the Sonics and coming back from 3-0 to force OT. Defense and Mutombo had a lot to do with it, but young players do well when they are given confidence and grow together. Stith was the co-captain alongside veteran Reggie Williams. That's another thing, giving a guy a leadership position in his 2nd year is a huge confidence boost. I am excited about the 3 rookies as well, also D-Mo of course, and watching them grow together. I wouldn't call them the big 3 but I understand why you went there. It would be nice if Morey and Leslie would believe in the natural course a team needs to take to win. Of course down the line, you would need that star next to that top pick to get to the championship level, something the Nuggets were never able to do. I hope their hands will be force to rebuild so we can finally have something to cheer about. It would've been nice if they had started earlier but better late than never. I don't think anybody in Houston really wants to have another failed year full of promises and letdowns. They definitely don't want a soap opera so forget about Dwight, can you imagine how bad that press conference would be when people start questioning him about opting in, not wanting to come here etc. We better avoid that. It's time to develop again, like around 2001 when we had Mobley & Francis and had everything gone well, we could've had a great couple of years with #1 pick Yao. Let's hope we get that pick next year, draft Noel / Shabbaz and go to war! Let's build on these youngsters! Let's pray this will happen and we won't trade our picks for a louzy superstar.
Really really like White & Lamb Jones is a nice pick too one of them will be an allstar im sure probably Lamb.
This should be about White-Lin-Asik. Parsons would be like the fourth guy that everybody knows about.
What many of you misremember (I've always wanted to use that word), is that although Morris has yet to turn into an established NBA player, Morey has actually done very well at finding diamonds in the rough. Look back at our 2nd round picks the last few years in Landry, Bud & Parsons. All of these are 1st round talents found in the 2nd, now (hopefully) he's used teen picks to find top ten talent. I like the swinging for the fences attitude Morey's taking with the possible upside of each of these guys giving us a contender within a few years. We can be as mad at Morey for what he's done or hasn't done thus far, but one thing he hasn't done is anything stupid (yet) and thats better than a debatable trade.
Based on those videos Lamb looks like he might get some of his shots blocked because of his funky release Was that a high school video of jones and can he do more than dunk And white sure does use his right hand a bunch, better work on that left or nba defenses will take away the right
Heres another J. Lamb jam. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FHbfxDsHbQE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> He needs to work on his rapping, though. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lkBf9RY_RO4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
His elbow does go off to the side somewhat. But he get great lift and has very long arms, so he should be fine. I thought Eric Gordon's weird release looked more like a block waiting to happen.
Jones can do a lot more than dunk. Didn't you see the ball-handling, passing, and blocking? His shooting is only average right now. All he needs is reps. Dude is a stud. This team is full of talented players. We could easily have a 10 man rotation.
