I don't think we can be judged by our loss tonight. We played like a bunch of rookies while they played organized basketball, in the end we lost by just 4 points.

I expect a huge win next time we play against them. I can't wait for it.

I don't think that nickname applies to Yao, but on some nights it sure does feel like it.

Ming can drop 30 and 10 a night which Bradley can't but a big But.

No one expects Ming to drop 30 and 10 in the post season every game, some games he will be off like any other so called super star, but when he plays an off game, many of his off games are absolutely horrendous, basic common sense plays like boxing out, rotating on D, simple straight forward point blank tip ins, etc. adding in the turnovers he causes when he fumbles post passes and you kill all momentum on your team,

Nights like tonight should never happen when you are in the league for your 7th year!

when this happens in the post season, these momentum killers can devastate the moral of the team especially if it comes from one of your leaders,

No this is not just one game, we have seen this before in past seasons and playoffs,

This is the final year if we see if Ming can bring any material payoff in the
post season, if again he does not, well . . . .

We all want to either believe in Yao or do...but when you look at his game he just withers away whenever anyone gets physical with him. He doesn't even demand a double team at times because he let's other players get in his head. He just needs to toughen up. As for Rafer he was just horrible, I'll leave it at that.

That's the difference between Boston and Houston, they have strong minded tough players: Pierce, Garnett, Perk, House, Powe, and we just have Artest.

Please...spare us the idiotic comparison with Shawn Bradley. The best players have terrible games once in a while. I wonder what you have to say after those games the rockets win because Yao goes off.

Our mentality has become much tougher since Artest arrived. However, It's hard for one single man to make the change. He can only do what he could to help what's already there.

    We are soft. Period.

What's the point if he's not as effective when he does play more minutes? He was far more effiecient/dominating under JVG... and he has regressed under Adelman.

He is still an awesome force, and will be a huge reason this team does well... but you can't say he's played "better" the last two years.

    garnett jacking up 20ft jumpshots
    pierce jacking up tough fadeaways
ray allen taking jumpers (well that's all he can do)

let's be real, it was perkins and rondo who played great today (along with ray's getting hto).

their stars jack more jumpers than us

the celtics aint play well tonite , we costed ourselves the game with off yao .. Glad to see that T-mac can still take the game near the end

3-1 and we'd probably end up like this ratio.....62 wins

No but your the fan who waits at the first opportunity to rain in on a player's first bad game of the season.

Yao sucked with a capital S and cost us the game. But you suck worse as a fan.

The OP has a point. Yao played like **** tonight. I agree he doesn't deserve the nickname. But the nickname does fittingly describe his overall pathetic performance in tonight's game.

Knee jerk reaction? Maybe... but Yao was absolutely garbage tonight. GARBAGE!!!!!!!! I understand even superstars have an off game but at least they contribute one way or another. It's one thing to miss an easy bucket here or there but to get rejected by Kendrick Perkins on numerous occasions, not box out and hang on to an easy board and not make the proper switch on the defensive end, get out played by Perkins, and still pick up r****ded early fouls.... not good.
