i love astros games for the girls I interned there last summer and I can say without a doubt that the astros have the hottest female fan base out of all houston teams..
So earlier, we were complaining about how TC is dead silent and we don't have enough fans getting into it. Now that we have a larger fan base, we're complaining that we don't have "high quality" fans???
I can't speak for others, but my problem isn't for the people who have honestly just caught the fever and are out to support the team on their run. My issue is with people who pretend to have been there from the start. For example... Me: "So, that last second three pointer Battier hit in the first game of the season is looking more and more important now huh?" Bandwagon Type A Response: "Oh, I didn't see that game because I just started watching recently. What happened?" Bandwagon Type B Response: "Oh yeah man. I was here (Toyota Center) for that game...everybody was going crazy!" I have no problem with Type A, but B bugs the hell out of me.
i'm thinking/planning on it, Raoel txt me about that game a few weeks back, so I may try to get some people together.
I just wish that people would be in their seats when the game starts! How about this for a promotion? $1000 at the beginning of each game given to a fan in his seat at tipoff. You do a drawing, then with binoculars or telephoto camera you take pictures of the 5 people who are actually in their seats, then you go in order to verify that they match their ticket stubs. First qualifying fan wins $1000. Get your rear in gear for $1000!
I don't really care. It's the bandwagon fans that are gonna fill the lower bowl of the TC anyway, so welcome aboard! And stand and cheer dammit!
No I was born in 1972. I was a casual fan when we drafted Ralph Sampson but when we got Olajuwon that sealed the deal. Go Rockets!!!!!!
Also complaining about no national love but now all guys who say we are good are bandwagoners or flip floppers. Just welcome all bandwagon fans.
