The big move that needs to happen to solidify us being a contender is the Anderson trade... Morey is going to shock the world and get this done. Anderson Gordon Nene Next years 1st round pick CJ McCollum Evan Turner We sign Melo after buyout as well as Duval Capela Melo/Tucker Harden/Luc McCollum/Turner Paul/MCW/Duval Bring in Tucker at the 5 min mark of the 1st and let him close the quarters We will also have 3 lethal scorers who can create their own shots on the floor We could go small with Melo Tucker Harden McCollum Paul This Roster gives us so much versatility And I don’t think it’s a stretch for the Blazers they over paid for McCollum and may be possibly move Lillard to LA for Ball/Ingram/Deng and pick? Nurkic Anderson Ingram Gordan Ball Their pick next year would be top 10 in a loaded draft plus Houston and LA’s 1st That’s a quick rebuild Thoughts?
I voted no just coz I don’t want to lose Gordon and Nene. But it wouldn’t be a bad trade just to bring McCollum he is younger and quicker than Eric and shoots 3s pretty well. Cj defense isn’t great but Eric isn’t either. Evan turner is meh only reason I would make the trade would be to move Anderson since he doesn’t look happy with his role anymore. So no for now but would be a good trade imo
You'd have to be really slick to fleece a GM like that, Ricky. Don't we have a thread for this? I forget what it's called. Someone remind me
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/random-houston-rockets-trade-ideas-2017-18.285983/ We need a new one for 2018-19 though.
First thing I thought when I read the op was this goes in the random trade thread... but I guess he got us all on a technicality... lol
Midway through the season just trade Ryno to Phoenix for Ariza when he is available for trade. They'll probably add a couple fillers but worth it....
But why does Portland make this trade? It makes them a substantially worse team, and they're trading a young borderline perennial All-Star for Anderson's crappy contract, a year and a half of Gordon (an inferior player to McCollum), Nene and an incredibly late first round pick. I'm all for dealing Anderson in a trade that brings in an actual contributor to the rotation, but we have to be realistic. This trade makes literally zero sense for the Blazers.
Give us your second best player, who would be the best player in this trade and youngest, and you can have our 4th best player (maybe 5th) and our worst contract. Deal?
*sigh* so Portland swaps Turner’s toxic contract with Ryno’s, and they swap McCollum for Ego, old ass Nene, and a trash 1st rounder...yeah, not happening...
