That 2001 is nearly over. Easily the worst year I've ever lived through on pretty much all fronts (personally, professionally. and globally). The ghod d*mn Rockets can't even win a game.
Agreed. So far, this millenium just plain sucks. In the year of 2001, I've: Been the victim of TWO serious floods: a pipe burt upstairs when my mom was at work and I was out of town, and of course Allison, which flooded my mom's house and my grandfather's house, which in a sense makes me the victim of three floods. Been in 3 car wrecks, none of which were my fault. Had my car flooded once. I was at a party when a flash-flood came in 20 minutes and flooded every car parked in the street. My car survived Allison because I was out of town. Must have been Allison's revenge. Fortunately, everything was fixable. My beloved Mustang has been through SO f*cking much this year. I cut my finger off while working on said beloved Mustang. I had surgery and physical therapy to fix said finger. I've also been unemployed for nearly this entire year, as I graduated from college and had one of the worst job-searching experiences in human history. (I've got a job now: I joined the Army) The ONLY good thing to happen to me this year actually started in 2000: I've got a great girlfriend. She's so sweet and beautiful, I wonder how in the hell I ever got her.
lynus - the sweet girlfriend outweighs the negative!! another year in a very sad existence of mankind, quite frankly. some years are better than others...but don't look for 2002 to be an amazing year of world peace! unfortunately...
If 2001 is an indicator,...The end of the world is near...grab all the .22 ammo you can get! Buy caseloads of MRE! Sleeping bags, etc.
hmmm...must be perception and luck (preparation meets opportunity...now who said that ) Sure enough, started less than desirable, but, for me anyway, I was able to say adios to my boss in May and now make a very comfortable living from my apartment. 2002 looks twice as good. Current Events: Time to see through the trees. After all has been said and done, and surely in my life time, I honestly believe the world as a whole will be better for it. How? I don't exactly know, but a picture of it is slowly materializing (to bad Photoshop doesn't have an un-gaussian blur). I guess Photoshop filters represent man's ability to change, to perceive differently. And that is very cool. I make my living doing this. But it takes faith in man, the world in general, to see the original in our minds. And what is the original? Ask your heart, not your brain. I know it's tough differentiating the voices, but the right one will make you smile. Btw, before I get bombarded, this has absolutely nothing to do with religion, but belief and faith in you and me.
