Nice way to go out. Reggie played a hell of a game. I like the way he went out. He said he's gonna retire and never budged. Classy move and I seriously doubt the pacers make it this far without that extra motivation that Reggie gave them. I'll miss #31. And now just about everybody from the 90's has gone away.
I was going to go to that game, now I'm pissed I didn't. Stayed home instead to potentially play a show, but it started raining like hell here and I got screwed both ways. I think inler summed it up pretty well.

There's a fine line between gamesman and a whiny flopper. Some how, Miller always seems to stay on the gamesman side and I loved the way he played the game.
i went to the gym and thus i missed it but i wanted to see it. i was kinda hoping they would lose in indy so he could go out in front of the home crowd and i guess he did. sucks to see him gone. i'll never forget him being called for an offensive foul for jumping into the defender late in a game against the rockets and the indy fans throwing cups and stuff all over the court. that was pretty cool and interesting.
One of my favorite players ever .. Hakeem Reggie Ryan Bowen Great player, great heart. I'm gonna miss him. He was one of the players I really looked up to, even though he found himself in quite a few fights, still a great, humble, guy to meet. I guess that's what age does to you. What a damn game .. Yeah, I believe his retirement marks the end of an era. Reggie, in my opinion, was one of the last true gentlemen to play the game.
Damn, I was at work during the game and forgot to TiVo it! Can anyone post a link to a bit torrent of when Reggie got his standing ovation? I saw a short clip during halftime of the Spurs/Sonics game, but I really want to see the whole thing. I can't believe I missed this!!

Reggie's will always be my favorite non-Rocket player of all time. I've grown up a Rockets fan, but just as much as I've been a Rockets fan I've been a Reggie fan. I would say he's my favorite of all time, but Hakeem brought championships to my favorite team so it's just too hard to compare the two. I used to shoot around in my driveway acting as if I were taking one of Reggie's fall away game winning shots. Basketball has always been my favorite sport to play and watch, and on the court I've always patterned my game (to the best of my ability) to Reggie. It truly is sad to see him go. It was so special to see him go out with one team and on his own terms. It's a shame so many others of his generation were close to doing the same thing, but ended up hobbling away from the game...Barkley, Malone, Ewing...and especially Dream. What makes it even more special it he is the last great one of his generation to go out. In my eyes the only people that should really hate Reggie are Knicks fans (because of the rivalry). A lot of other people hate him because they think he is cocky, dirty, etc., and they are just plain ignorant. He's not a 100% clean player, but nobody is. Reggie is as professional as it gets, and the prototype guy as far as class and professionalism goes that any team owner, GM, or coach wants playing for their organization. One last thing...if there was a coach that reflected as much professionalism on the sidelines that Reggie does on the court, it's Larry Brown. I've always admired his coaching, and was upset the day he was gone from Indiana. BTW, the 8 points in 8.9 seconds was in '95. What a career for that scrawny kid out of UCLA.
Its too bad he never won a championship, and his retirement signifies the end of the players who dominated the NBA in the 90's. He deserved a championship more than malone by not leaving his team; him, stockton and barkley should sign on with the spurs or heat net season and win one
