It's has to suck to end your final season a quarter of the way through it with a leg injury. But you were awesome, no matter what anybody says. See you on NBC or TNT next season. Sincerely, A grateful fan.
I am so depressed, just when we are taking off we lose Chuckster. If he is out this season, hopefully he will be back in the next year, being aware of how unrealistic that is... [This message has been edited by Finalfantasy (edited December 08, 1999).]
So long Chuck. You will be missed sorely. You were not only entertaining, you were a warrior for the team. I'll never forget your play and above all, the class you showed in dealing with Pippen. His rings pale along side the character and loyalty you showed. Thanks for the years you gave the Rockets.
Dear Sir Charles, I am sorry for what happened tonight, for you, for the team, and for selfish reasons, for myself. I loved to watch you play. I loved to watch you inspire, teach, conjole, push, shout, shove and motivate the many youngsters under your care in HOuston. I loved the way you stood like a man when Scottie Pippen used your good name for his own selfish reasons. I admired the fire you lit under this team every day, and the way you left it all on the court. I hated your 3 point shooting, by the way. Although I know you'll never read this, I just wanted to say it here at Clutch City. An era in Houston basketball has come to a miserable end. The youngsters just don't have enough of what you have to offer to make a difference this year,I'm afraid. This is a bleak time in Rocket land. Good bye old friend. Signed, jscmedia
