Folks, I think all of us appreciate the info and insight that WindandSea has provided us on Ming. I think it would be just appropriate for us to give him a two words of thanks for his efforts Thank You WindandSea!
windandsea - boville is an attorney in Spain who gave us much information about Pau Gasol and the EuroLeague last summer. This is indeed a genuine compliment. Thanks for all of your updates. PS -Thanks also to poster heech.
Isn't it a bit over the top with a thread just to thank him, I mean people have thanked him in his own threads. I like your posts windandsea.
And when we come back...our Sunday conversation with WindandSea... thank you Windandsea...you defintely give some great insight to this BBS
Thank you Windandsea for your very informative posts! You must be a great Fan of Yao Ming to have so many pictures and on hand info? Please be a regular contributor with Asian information and opinions Thank you .
Thanks Wiindandsea. Hopefully in the future we will be giving you information on Ming that you can't get anywhere else.
WINDANDSEA, your the man (or woman) ) Hey WIND, thanxs for the 411. Definitely keep it coming. By the way keep us up with what goes on in China with the Rockets when they meet with ALL the vultures (representatives )of Ming. Again thanks for all your info.
Thank you for all the wonderful insight and information, windandsea, especially when this BBS was bombarded with misinformation and false rumors. In fact, thanks to all of our new friends in Asia! It should be a very enjoyable and exciting season.
Hi. everybody, Thank you for giving me so many encouragements. I like this forum very much. You always give me many deep thoughts about basketball. I began to like Yao Ming when I read a article about him. It said that although he earned $80,000 a year, he only keep $80 one month for himself and handed the rest to his parents. He is a good and rare boy. I was a soccer fan. But Chinese Soccer team and the players suck. Now I began to focus on basketball and hope Ming can be a great player. I survived from Tiananmen Square 13 years ago. I will never forgive the persons who did the decision to shoot to the students and civilians. Six students died at that day in my college, plus two teenager sons of the professors of my school. But I have to say that I didn't get any discriminations in the past 13 years. I got a job at a privincial government and got promoted soon. So I think maybe we don't need to worry about those Chinese Government issues too much. We need to keep the hopes. Yao Ming did a good job in the three test-series with New Zealand last week. I think some staff of Houston Rockets should have been there to watch those games if they wanted to scout him. But maybe they think it's not necessary. I heard that this weekend Chinese Basketball Team has another game...... Thanks again.
yes, thank-you to WindandSea... One of the positive aspects in pursuing Ming is the new CC.net visitors and posters who can become long-term fans and friends of our cyber-family...We welcome the many international folks who will contribute to the quality and value of this site... Remember to try squirrel bar-b-cue sometime so you can acquaint yourselves with this tried and true Western culture...A must do for all Rocket fans!
411 is an American slang term for "information." Here, when you need a phone number, you dial 411 on your phone and ask for the number from an operator. LOL is internet slang for Laugh Out Loud. It means something is funny. BS is an abbreviation for the curse word referring to the fecal excriment of a bull. Hope that helps and thanks for all your information.
Not to rain on any parades, but is there even the slightest chance at all that windandsea might be a fraud? I'm not accusing anybody of anything, but this Internet thing has made me a hardened cynic.
I think he's legitimate. Windandsea, where are you from? Taiwan or the mainland? Don't the PRC authorities monitor and censor criticisms of the country? Oh, and we use "BS" whenever we want to say something is worthless, laughably stupid, unbelievable. That sort of thing.
windandsea provided us authetic information except one thing. He must not be in China now cause it is 3am in China and he keeps posting. It is so easy for me to figure out which university he is from since he said six students from his college and two professors' sons were killed in 1989. The university's name is "People's University". They suffered the most casualties in 1989. That university is strong in social sciences such as economy. So, it is no surprise he worked for a provincial government for some time and did not get discriminated because of his involvement in the student movement. I was in Tianmen square on June 3, 1989. I had no trouble coming to US for my graduate studies. Thanks to windandsea for all the useful information.
Looks like the 21 year old raving beauty with the vital statistics of 36-24-36 who seduced DonKnutts really turned out to be a 48 year creepy old hag
