I got the State Fair special
    $159 + tax/night
came with complimentary valet parking, coupons for free buffet breakfast at the centennial for both mornings (sat and sun) and tickets to the state fair.
I got the deal through the Hyatt themselves sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal. Overall pretty good hotel friendly and in close proximity to downtown.

I should have said "flawless" for a freshman QB.

for the last several years UT has got most players that they have wanted from the state of Texas. A&M really hasnt been much competition. But OU has still gotten players, Peterson among others.

do you think after this game now that UT will really just get oretty much every player they want. and build the team for the immediate future with every best player from the state of Texas?

I would think yes, in addition to being National champions, beating OU always helps recruiting,

Yes, Peterson said the only reason he went to OU was because he thought they had a better shot of winning the national title. I don't think anyone is going to be thinking along those lines for the next few years.

It's true. It will be a struggle. However, we'll have Demarco Murray next year...

a blessing and a curse because the loaded talent pipeline may scare some folks off; also it is an inexact science, remember of the players that UT has wanted and didn't get, there are misses (Bomar, Perrilloux) as well as hits (Peterson). All in all though a fine dilemma to have.....

Yeah, it's small. You can see it better if you go full screen.

Definitely a point hammered home by other coaches, I'm sure, but any player scared of a challenge, or any player that expects something to be handed to them (Perriloux), is not a player I want on my team.

Maybe so, but you might not have Stoops next year. Somehow I doubt Stoopsie would want to stick around for a consectutive loss streak against Texas.

Agreed. Good players want to play with other good players.

where's he going to go though? I don't think NFL teams are ready to pull up the $$$ truck like they were a few years ago. He should have sold high if that was his aim....

I have no evidence but I suspect that if Bill Parcell retires (again) that Stoopsie will get the job in Dallas ala Switzer. Although his stock might not be as high as before it's still high, but not as low as it will be if he continues to lose, paticularly against Texas. So it's more like "sell now!!!"

I would think after Parcells Jerry would want another "caretaker" type coach that he can meddle with like a Chan Gailey, but who knows.

uh, why would he want that? we were f'in horrible under Gailey and Campo. trust me, as much as Jerry likes to do things his way, he wants to win even more. that's the bottom line with him

that's my biggest fear is when Parcells leaves, that we won't be able to find any big-name coach and thus have to go back to an inferior one along the lines of Gailey or Campo. plus it won't be nearly as entertaining, I love Parcells' press conferences. I like sarcastic assholes like that =P

I would think Stoops would be a good fit for Dallas if Parcells leaves. I don't think Stoops leaves OU. He's paid well and treated like he's a god.

UT's 2007 class is unbelievable, by far the best class Mack has ever recruited. I think we got almost every Texas player we wanted, including the #1 Athlete and #1 OL in the state. We also picked up a HUGE recruit in Brantley. But there will be players we won't get.
