Uhhh... yeah, "mogul" meaning a bump on a downhill skiing run. Take that! Keeley, you better take him, you guys both went to private schools. I'd be out of my element, him way too S-M-R-T for me.
I defer. With all the grief the Nerdiversity of ND takes around here I'm content to sit back and watch others go at it. I'm sure once Stanford or Air Force beats ND (and I think one of them will), I'll be pulled back in.
lmao Is this for real....like the Skirtman?? Or some elaborate joke being pulled on us?? Whatever it is, it is f*cking brilliant!
if that is in fact you, Mr. Urban, I sent an e-mail to you regarding your article. After reading it for a second time, I see that there is a sense of jealousy regarding our sports fan base. Hidden in the muck of Texas stereotypes is a subtle slam at the quality of Stanford sports fans.
No way either one of those 2 beat ND. The ND defense will shut both of those offenses down. Go Irish!!!!
Notre Dame probably won't go overrated, but they've done a helluva job so far in beating Maryland and Michigan.
That dude was out of line with that article, clearly he's jelous that UT beat them out in the SI feature, but there's no need to bash Stanford the school or the other students there.
well i got a reply to my email form the managing editor of the sports dept. at "The Stanford Daily" he seemed like a very friendly guy... he clarified that the "bonfire" mentioned in the article wasn't about UT (i told him in my e-mail that he was confusing us with A&M), but rather it was a stanford tradition... he said: Just to clarify since we write our articles largely for a Stanford audience...the "Pre Big Game inferno" line was in reference to a Stanford traidition before our annual game against California that was stopped because the traditional location of the bonfire, a dried out lake bed on campus, turned out to be home to some endangered salamander, leading the University to kill the tradition much to the students' dismay. It was not in reference to any Texas tradition, but instead has been largely illustrative of how poor Stanford's sports spirit is on campus despite having the best athletic program in the country.
Huh? They already are overrated, but I think you were meaning to say they weren't going to be undefeated. I used to think that but with the way some of their opponents have been playing and that freaking luck of the Irish ****, I wouldn't be surprised now if they do go undefeated. HOWEVER, they will get annihilated in their bowl game if they are unbeaten. I just don't see them beating a team of the caliber of Miami, Texas, Va Tech, or OU & one of those teams would be probably who they would be playing in a bowl game.
i got email from the "durban" poster. unless someone around here is going to elaborate lengths with this hoax, i think its really him.
It's a stanford.edu IP address (my, I sound like I know what I'm talking about), so I'd bet he's real. Notice how quickly he came and went, though. Obviously afeared of the mighty challenge of this BBS's collective intellect.
What did he say? Someone must have emailed him the link or he's a Rockets fan. I hope its the former. This thread is nothing compared to how he's being bashed on Longhorn boards.
