The guy is having a breakout game today.

I know Vince didn't play (I don't think he played at all) hardly as a Freshman, but this guy is a true Freshman and is looking like Vince's Junior year, but with a better arm. Kid's got potential.

    Anyone watching?

Didn't Vince split time with Mock during his freshman year? But yes, the kid does look a lot like Vince out there.

    I just looked it up...

Vince was redshirted, and then split time with Mock.

    Pryor is a true freshman.

Ya Mock and Vince split time. They ran more plays from under center back then too if I remember correctly. It was brutal, their 2QB system was not fluid. I think it screwed Roy Williams out of a Heisman. But then again I may have years mixed/combined.

Pryor looks special. But not anymore special than the typical stud freshman with speed. You could say Vince Young. You could say Ell Roberson. Pryor couldn't throw a TD against Penn State and thats all that matters. I have seen freshman nobodies come in and slaughter top tier defenses before, Pryor hasn't done that. Going to have to wait until a bowl game I suppose.

That's the reason I post, though. He's playing a decent defense in Northwestern, and he's making consistent playw that aren't there. I've seen him make some great throws today that he never made even two or three weeks ago. He's coming along quickly.

Just made another perfect 30-40 yard throw as I type.

The similarities between Pryor and VY are pretty ridiculous. He's gonna be a good one when its all said and done. Plus he's playing in the Big 10 so he honestly has a chance of being in a MNC game multiple times.

He screwed up when it mattered (Penn St game at home). Oh well, he's a true fishy.

Robert Griffin is pretty darn good for a true freshman without any talent around him.

That was a somewhat poor video sampling, but it showed VY's skills. That was after Young had a year to sit and learn the offense, and against a very poor defense. Also, in the whole 9 minute highlight, he only threw one pass(because UT was up HUGE....poor video sampling).

    BUT,

Pryor played today against a ranked team with a pretty strong offense. He created with his feet (Beanie Wells compared to Selvin Young...I'd give Wells the upside), but didn't have rushing td's to show for it because of who his running back is. Buit what I was most impressed with was Pryor's throwing ability. I think I saw him underthrow one or two passes all day, and for the most part, the rest of his passes were money.

If I could find a highlight clip of Pryor's from today, I'll post it. His second touchdown pass was very Vince Young-esque.

This is true. It'll be fun to see how Baylor progresses with him.

    I love college football.

Ya...he was really impressive against UT today. The stats might not necessarily show it but the kid made a lot of plays with very few mistakes. Seems like this kid kinda flew under the radar coming out of highschool but he looks like he could be a good player.
