Based on what I have seen as of late, IMHO, the rocks would be better served to start Morris instead of Eddie. Tmo has been very efficient with the minutes he is given and seems to give the team a boost while EG just clogs things up. Morris even shows some, dare I say it, HEART!!! Something Houston is in desperate need of. The only consern would be if TMo is strong enough to play the 4, but it isn't like EG is a force. I would love to hear some thoughts on this.
T Mo is decent but he is not a PF either. I think both T Mo and Eddie would be better suited at the 3 vs the 4. T Mo seems to have a nice outside shot but is not physical enough inside to battle the thugs of the West.
MoT is the one that is out of place. EG just based on his defense, and rebounding alone should be in there. EG has great range also and although he is streaky he certainly proved he can knock down some threes. Tmo at the 3 is a better fit. I believe we lost last night's game partly because of MoT being there down the stretch. His defense and rebounding is weak.
An interesting note. Lately, TMo is rebounding more than EG, and with fewer minutes. For example, last nite TMo had 10 boards. Oh yeah, 5 were offensive which is pretty impressive.
MoT had more rebounds than EG in few minutes - not that that is saying much. EG is not a rebounder either - 2 total in 33 minutes last night.
Put TMo at the 3 and either EG or MoT at the 4. Move Posey to the 2, and you've got a more effective team.
i have always said start TMO at 4 , he has shot blocking ability and is one of the only ones on the team that can hit open shots, he can't get less rebound than MO T!!
I said either EG or MoT at the 4. MoT and TMo can hit shots. Did anybody expect TMo to knock down those consecutive 3s? And Posey isn't the highest percentage shooter (he had a terrible FG% as the top scorer on the Nuggets), but Mobley isn't any better. Both are very streaky.
Besides, who said any of those guys should shoot on a regular basis, anyway? Give the ball to Yao and/or Francis.
