Surprised nobody here is a tennis fan, personally i admire the techniques and beautiful plays in tennis. I'm rooting for federer, and again everyone knows hes gonna win.

Also, the hot women in tennis ;) (No, not sharapova, but alot of the other europeans :D )

I used to be a fan when Goran Ivanisevic and Patrick Rafter were playing. I haven't followed tennis much since Goran won wimbledon like at 03 or something.

Not as fun anymore.. everyone knows it's either Federer or Nadal.

I'm rooting for Djokovic as well. He's got all the tools and he's fun to watch.

I liked how he did the Leyton Hewitt "COME ON!" fist pump to Hewitt when he took the second set from him this morning. :D

There are a bunch of tennis fans on this board, me included. We generally start a thread on the majors around quarterfinals time. So I guess the timing is just right.

I think Djokovic can take out Federer.

I'm really happy for Blake in that he is finally living up to his potential.

I think Djokovic can win if federer breaks a leg. Federer is like jordan in his prime; he a machine. He makes people look silly. Even if federer is playing his C game Djokovic would need to play his A+ game and usually federer does not play C games during the slams.

man I've been missing a lot of the aussie open because my new computer doesn't accept my old PCI TV tuner card. Waiting on getting a new one but dang in the meantime I'm missing a lot of TV shows cuz I can't record any of this stuff.

Djokovic has a decent chance of beating Fed. he's done it before. It's going to depend a lot on Novak's physical conditioning by the time he meets up with him and how Federer is playing that day.

I think Djokovic's A game can beat Fed's B game. I'm interested in seeing if Blake even puts up a fight against Federer. He has pretty poor results against Roger. It's as if Roger makes a few great shots and Blake gives up. That's something Roddick wouldn't do against Roger but unfortunately Andy doesn't have the tools to beat Roger.

Has been one of the better Aussie Opens this year and being in Australia the coverage has been good.

Novak I believe will finally end Fed's run and claim his first slam. The guy has every single tool that is needed to be number 1, now it's just the mental side of things when he comes up against Fed.

On the women side, I expect the winner of tonight's Sharapova v Henin match to win the title. Mind you I'm praying Ana Ivanovic does ,such a hottie.

Federer has had some unusually tough matches this time around and the matches have been relatively closer than in the past.

The whole reason why I think Federer is ripe for a beating is simply due to him being on top for so long, he might lose just a little bit of that hunger that brought him to the top. Just a little less training or less mental focus on Fed's part will see him eventually losing one of these times.

If you remember the US Open, Djokovic nearly had Federer beat. He had multiple set points in both the first and second set. It was just a lack of experience in a Grand Slam final that caused Djokovic not to win that time.

Federer only had one close game against Tipsarevic 5-7/ 7-6/ 5-7/ 6-1/ 10-8
In the first two round he only lost 6 games, one game was Santoro. He also had no problems with Berdych.

That being said bot Djokovic and Nadal have been great, but i believe Federer will win again.

See I believe he did have some problems with Berdych, if it wasn't for some complete brain freezes from Tomas he would have been down 2 sets to love.

After tonight's performance, give the women's title to Maria Sharapova. She was dominant.

Federer had a really bad stomach virus just as the tournament was beginning. Hence, I don't think his strength and endurance are what they usually are for him.

However, don't let that fool anyone into believing he's lost a step or isn't hungry. As the tournament goes on, I expect he will get better and better as his health gets back to normal. I also don't expect him to lose given the fact that he is two grand slams away from breaking Sampras' record of 14 singles titles.

I don't see anyone stopping him here. Sure, I'd love to see Blake beat him...but Blake cannot seem to get over the hump in the majors, and he's 28 already.

Oh yeah, I have a doubles match tonight.
