Jump off the Immortality Thread Many suggest immortality being reach a number of ways. Some of them I am unsure at how comfortable people will be with them ie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_implant Even at this stage if a permanent Cell Phone implant was created [behind the ear and in the mouth] - I think there would be some 1st adaptors on it but I dunno if it would be come a craze [Some folx would be like those addicted to Plastic Surgery but . . . ] Something like Cell Phone implants. Maybe even GPSs implants are not IMO that fantastical that they could not happen in the next 5 ~ 10 yrs The question . . . Would you be willing to have them. Rocket River
Implants help people live normal lives who might have dysfunctional organs or processes. For example, pacemakers are heart implants. There are brain implants that restore sight to the blind. Any implant that helps people live is ethical.
IT is not about ethics It is about . . . Asthetics and Convienence Like Breast Implants. . . they are not necessary I think soon we will have Techno Implants that are not Necessary but wanted. . . luxuries. . etc I don't know If I would be comfortable with them [I am not big on cosmetic surgery either] but I know it is comoing . . Think about it. . . instead of lapband surgery you get a 'hunger regulator' put on the lining of your stomach Lose weight . . .. and not exercise to the MAX Rocket River
Hell yes. Load me up. Super strength. Longevity. The ability to control pheromone secretion and subtle voice octaves to manipulate people. The ability to turn off fear, guilt, etc. Also, think of all the different senses and sensory improvement you could attain. Give me all of them.
