Teams traumatized by rockets

A few days ago I was watching a Warriors' game right after they lost to us and heard stuff like B. Davis had to play shrink in the locker room to get the team over the loss to the rockets. "Heart Wrenching loss" was the word used. Seems Kobe feels the same way.

"I was so frustrated by the loss the other night I was going to will us to victory," Bryant said, referring to a 76-74 loss to the Houston Rockets. Bryant scored 24 points in that game -- a total he matched in the first 16 1/2 minutes against the Mavericks"

You have to give it to JVG, he seems to have this special gift to upset other teams no body else can. Imagine if we had more talent.

Well it's pretty obvious that Either Jackson has no control over Kobe now or he is just allowing Kobe to play 1 on 5.

No coach has complete control over their superstars. It's either the superstar lets the coach have control over him and respects his coach (McGrady comes to mind with JVG) or the coach will have to just 'let it be', like Kobe is doing in LA.

If possibly the greatest coach in league history complained in his last stint with the Lakers that "I can't reach this kid", do you think anyone else will?

Isn't that pretty much what the Lakers are now?

So this validates my post in another thread about how Tmac has the ability to go off for 62 in 3 quarters, but difference is that Tmac trusts his teammates and Kobe doesn't.

That is why I hope Tmac doesn't try to go off at that magnitude just because we have a depleted roster.

Yes, and last night's game confirms it.

my take is ppl saw our record and thought we were definitely beatable. and when they didn't, or lost a close game, like what the fakers did, they got more upset. so i wouldn't think too much about this.

If I were B.Davis I would have been dejected also, they were raining 3pts all night on the rockets and some of those 3pts were being contested. Back breaking losses for both G.S and Lakers. L.A was at home waiting for the rockets who were coming off the first game of a back to back against the Clippers.

oooh jvg, you heart breaker you ;)

i'll take my chances with kobe jacking up 30+ shots a night. double team, triple team, doesnt matter. i wont bank on him throwing up something like that again. sure it was impressive...hell, it was out of this world, but that is one victory. look at all the games they lost where kobe is jacking up shots and is shooting 8-32 or something like that.

I would not give him too much credit....

As long as they are winning, whats the problem? Last time I checked it wasn't as if the Lakers had any good players outside of Kobe. Kobe bashing is funny.

If Kobe scores 50 a game and wins the championship, he'll still be a ball hog.

I wasn't bashing Kobe. The point I was trying to convey is simply TMAC trusts his teammates and Kobe doesn't.

    Dang'ol.

I will bash Kobe, and will continue to do so until I die. I cant stand that guy.

If he came to the Rockets, I honestly dont think I could be a fan of our team any longer.

But that is more man's opinion, and everyone has one and mine isnt the only one that stinks :D :D

Then they're pretty stupid considering the Rockets were one of the hottest teams in the league and one of the preseason favorites to contend for a championship.

Karl Malone probably still has nightmares about the Rockets of old.
