One of the Broadcasters or some other talking head
Talked about the Rockets being a team that basically had the philosophy
of forfeiting Offensive Rebounds in order to get back on defense.

    If so this is Assinine!
We need to focus on second chance points

Rebounding is going to KILL US in the playoffs.

The Spurs haven't won a championship in almost a year.

Offensive rebounding isn't the Rockets' problem. Rockets can't get a defensive rebound to save their lives. I get that DMO is weaker but no one is too weak to box out! TJ and Smith try to use their athleticism to jump over 7 foot opponents... box out!

I'm less concerned about us getting 2nd chance points and more concerned with us giving up 2nd chance points.

Rocket River is on some 1993 basketball tactics.

it must be that the chance of getting the rebound and likelihood of converting the additional possession into points is worth less than what it costs you in transition points the other way.

We go small-ball so we can doubleteam whoever it is that's killing us, but it leads to us being outrebounded. Yikes! Pick your poison.

You have to remember we don't have Howard on the team and that hurts. Our tallest rebounder right now sucks at rebounding.

You can't risk transition baskets without knowing you can get a real chance at an offensive rebound. Our bigs just aren't big enough right now.

I think the real danger is the three pointed we launch
have long rebounds which leads to fastbreaks

Esp when we launch them with no one under the goal at all
