Thanks. Considering the source, I'll happily accept that insult. I wouldn't want to be the kind of person you would hold in high regard.
First, my statement was a joke, so it doesn't really show anything. Second, since when am I part of the "far left"?
If you click the link from Samurai Jack they have video of her in the crowd and the car approaching. It shows her going up to the car and putting the sign up to the window. Then the she tries to turn it so he can read it. It doesn't appear that her arm goes into the car at all. Maybe you'll believe she is at fault for that. But I've seen almost any shot of a popular band getting in their limo after a concert have dozens of groupies intrude far more.
Yes because it is the type of thing that is debasing political discourse and is meant to be antagonistic. That though doesn't excuse the Paul supporters from stomping on her, and yes they did stomp on her. As I have said before they should be charged with assault.
Now that's funny and all but it doesn't represent my POV if that's what you think it accomplishes. If you are going to fight, fight fair at least.
You're an idiot and a bigot. (I'm tired of these cheap shot insults coming from the ilk of you, so it's time to start shooting some off!!) For your edification, my POV would indicate that no one is right here and both sides are WRONG and for that you are going to indict me... of what? Rand Paul is not a rock star. He's a politician and this kind of behavior is not the norm nor is it acceptable. You don't enter the cars of candidates unwelcome while thrusting anything at them. Period. I realize that this is counter-intuitive because it doesn't let your side do whatever it wants without criticism (the zero objectivity I referred to earlier) but, hey, that's life. The tendency is to see what you are looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsgkYLkWlrE She didn't deserve what happened to her but she had something coming. Arrest probably. Some of the Paul people handled it poorly and they are paying and will pay for that, but if you feel the need to slander a whole group of people for what a couple of guys did I won't be able to stop that stupidity... I do apologize for my name-calling but it sure felt good for a moment.
I don't think anyone is saying the girl is some massive innocent victim that was taking her grandma to church and was murdered. She is obviously a tool who goes around doing dumb stuff to get attention and possibly arrested to promote some cause. Doing this leaves you open for bad stuff to happen. this does not excuse a guy stepping on her. Just as crime does not excuse police brutality. The rape analogies you guys had is weaksauce.
Thuggery exist on both sides, and there are plenty of videos floating around the net to prove it. The tea party a scarecrow the left uses to demonize voters, and it's an extremely counter productive strategy. I suggest focusing on issues, such as abortion rights, getting out of Afghanistan, and prosecuting corporate corruption, as reasons why Democrats should be re-elected.
As soon as you had any criticism for (or any single statement by) any Tea Party organization, I'm guessing? But I got my membership card earlier. I think it was when I criticized the idea of attacking Iraq for the actions of a bunch of Saudis. So there!
the bush administration had people arrested for wearing t-shirts at public events so i would say showing up at a political rally with a wig and a sign should get you sent to guantanamo.
