Sorry for the triple post, but this somehow got sent several minutes after I thought I'd sent it. I didn't think it had gone through. So if it seems out of place in the flow of conversation, that's why.
Slightly silly? I love your choice of words. Just like a three year old girl sticking her tongue out at a camera? I can't have a civil conversation with you. next..........
I can't agree the woman is at fault at all. She didn't do anything wrong. It isn't wrong to wear a wig, and show up at a political rally opposing a candidate. There is nothing wrong with that at all.
Whatever, dude. Have fun trying to balance annoying a politician with holding a woman down and stomping on her head.
There's a definite pattern. If you don't like it, maybe you should do something about it. And now a head stomping. Good company you TPers are keeping. Must make you feel real patriotic. Here's more from Digby...
Again for the last time, what he did was ridiculous and reprehensible. Can you not even admit she was baiting them......? Good night folks.
No it shouldn't and I've said as much about three times; please stop acting as if I approve of the way the man handled her... but he didn't stomp her. He pushed her should down with his boot and, later, he did place his boot on her head and pressed down with about as much force as we put on the accelerator on our cars. But stomping is a good word for headlines and it hardly qualifies as violence. She behaved badly and they behaved worse. She got what she wanted and she got more than she wanted. The settlement should be nice.
I think it's wrong to go sticking a sign into a candidate's car/limo. That's just stupid. It crosses a line of etiquette and judgment. It is not violent. I also think the reaction, a violent reaction, was over the top and fueled by repressed rage. She simply needed to be escorted away by the arm. The huge worry with all of our modern politics is that the people pulling the strings (e.g. the origins of the tea party, and cheerleaders like Beck and Palin, and others from all over the spectrum) either don't understand or don't acknowledge that there are consequences of inflaming people. You inflame them for your own gain or for your political goals or to sell your media products, and then you walk home happy. Meanwhile, you've left a lot of genuinely angry, and sometimes more hateful, and less informed, people in your wake. All that energy (with a twist of misinformation and hyperbole) is going to go somewhere, and it's not going to go anywhere worthwhile (given the history of the last 5,000 years of anger, give or take Chuck Norris.)
I think he meant Ted Nuged: HERE I COME AGAIN NOW BABY LIKE A DOG IN HEAT TELL IT'S ME BY THE WAY NOW BABY I LIKE TO TAP THE STREETS NOW I'VE BEEN SMOKING FOR SO LONG YOU KNOW I'M HERE TO STAY GOT YOU IN A CURB-STOMP BABY YOU BEST GET OUT OF THE WAY My dos centavos is that she shouldn't have stuck her sign into the limo, though I seriously doubt anybody believed her to be a threat to Paul's safety and the resulting violence was more of an eruption of anger at her for trying to humiliate Paul than them being concerned with his safety.
How many open car windows have you thrust your arms into lately? How many have done that to you? You wouldn't do it and you wouldn't tolerate it but you defend her.... give it up!!
So you really believe that's what the Tea Party is made of? Wow, well...... check back with you next week. Gonna be a bad day for you and the gang. BTW, not a tea party member, just following the political scene. p.s. Not really a pattern, just what the left has tried to portray. ( They have done an excellent job by the way )
I didn't see her thrust her arm into the window. I'll watch again. Maybe I just missed that part. ::edit:: OK, watching the video again, it doesn't look like her arm actually goes into the car but that she was sticking a sign up to the car window. Yes, Samurai Jack, I'll grant you she was baiting Paul, and his supporters, but not baiting them to turn violent.
I don't think you'll see it; the video only picks up when she is wrestled to the ground after she did what she did-- whatever that was. I had heard on the radio that she had accosted him in his vehicle but I doubt there is any video of that... and very little reporting.... interestingly enough. I heard it on ABC News radio... not FOX by the way!
if some young woman did that to me i would probably get my posse to surround her and throw her on the ground and step on her head. her acts are indefensible and disgusting and she got what was coming to her. they should have waterboarded her too while the old man was standing on her head. then she should have apologized to them for being a rude b**** and interrupting their party.
