Last tuesday i got my first tattoo, probably my last. just a design on the back of my arm. its been less then a week, but sometimes i actually regret it, but most of the time i love it. do any of you have any tatoos? how many? what are they? i realize alot of people think they are pretty trashy, ok i know, you dont have to tell me.
I didn't know you could get "drunk" or "tattoos" after getting married. Hmm, I'll have to check with my manag... err, wife.
Why do you regret it Holden? I am thinking about getting one in a few weeks. I got my ears pierced a few months back, but that did not work out. My left ear was real sensitve to it and started to swell up. Soon enough the small stud on my left ear had submerged inside the ear. You couldnt even see it. I mean it was not grotesquely swollen. Just my left ear lobe had swelled up. You coudnt even tell if you were accros the room. But the wierd thing was that I had to go to a doctor and she had to perform a mini surgery to get the stud out.
Tattoos fascinate me! I love 'em. I'm not too heavily covered, but I have my share... a half a sleeve of Aztec crap on my right arm, a peacock underneath that same arm, a burning heart over my cold heart, a tiny pre-columbian crane motif on my left forearm, a Leo Lion on my right inner forearm...thats about it for now The guy that did most of my work, Andrew Krupka, a very young, very level headed tattoo artist who has his own shop and does excellent work. A really great guy, go talk to him. http://www.texastattoo.com/ Tattoos, to me, are simply for the tattooee. They have no meaning to me, 'cept they are just baffling on my skin, surreal even. I think they are pretty and I hope to one day be one of those old men you see with old tats from WWII, so old you can't tell what they are, it just looks like pigmented skin! I don't wear tanktops to show my ink off or anything like that. They are just for me...and the hints people can see peeking out underneath my shirt. What I do HATE though...is when people just come and yank your shirt sleeve up without asking!!!!! That is just plain fu<#ing rude! What am I a fu<#ing public museum?!
im about to add to my tat in a couple of weeks...my right arm is a work in progress that will be done when i die...
I have two. A dragon on my right bicep that I got at Shaw's on Westheimer and a black panther clawing his way up me left bicep that I got at Capitol City Tattoos. I never regretted getting them.
Not trying to be disrespectful, but a tattoo is a common mans form of art. Always wanted one, but never got around to getting one, and now the wife woukd probably kill me if I did.
I don't have one, but I do want to eventually get one. I'm thinking of getting the "Yin Yang" symbol, but instead of white and black, white and brown. I'm not sure if I want to get it on my chest or my upper-arm/shoulder.
I got some japanese words on my arm that translate to "sadness" as I was depressed about a friend being seriously ill at the time... I don't regret it. It was mark of respect for her. The only thing is...I always wanted to get a more cheerful one on my other arm. Now I am married, my wife basically has said "no way!!!!!!" Oh well...I'll do it one day anyway LOL
one of my friends got this same tat on his upper-arm/shoulder area. pretty cool. I only have one on my penis that says... "GO ROCKETS...FAN FOR LIFE...MY BLOOD RUNS PINSTRIPE...STEVIE FRANCIS WILL LEAD US TO THE PROMISE LAND!"
I am a wife and I have a tattoo -- though, to be fair, I did get it before I got married. It's a small chain around my ankle with a dangling red heart-shaped locket. I've had it for ten years and I still like it a lot. I've been toying with the idea of getting another one for several years now (probably on the small of my back) but I'm still not sure. There seems to be a pretty fine line between "cool" and "trashy" for women when it comes to tattoos. I'm not sure if I'd be crossing into trailer park territory with a second design.
those type rock! I usually don't like tattooed womens' arms, legs, etc. but when there is a good colored design in the small of their backs it does something to me...woof!
I always remember the story from english soccer where a Newcastle United fan got a full colour portrait of the THEN idol Andy Cole on his arm... The NEXT day Andy Cole was traded...
