I'm not say i'm for it. But think about it. If we land a top pick we could get a true franchise player like every team has. We could get a Harrision Barnes, Kyrie Irving, Brandon Knight a Perry Jones, ect. Someone young we could look to as a future star. Or we could fight through this season getting a most likely first round exit. What do you guys think?
i know it it way to early for this thread, but the worse and worse the we are doing the the more interesting prospects are looking. what ever happened to doc rivers son?
The honest truth is that the Rockets do need a low draft pick to select a franchise changer type player. But you don't ever "give up" on a season, and we have a lot of talent on this team despite our record; we'll probably be getting used to picking the Patrick Pattersons of the draft and having Morey tell us about how he explored all his options but it was too expensive to move up.
i say we just develop our young guys, and if it happens we only win 15-25 games so be it. we're arent getting far into the playoffs anyway :'(
That may be your approach to life, but it ain't the Rockets' and that of proper and dignified human beings. But hey, you're entitled to your "give up" mentality! .
Your logic: Every season we can't get out of the first round playoffs, we should tank. Extending your logic: So we should tank every season which we won't likely make WCF? So we should tank every season which we won't likely make Finals? Silly. This is sports. You try to win as much as you can. Tanking is such a sleazy move.
It's too early to talk about tanking. A. Get Yao over 30 minutes a night B. Trade Aaron Brooks If the team isn't winning at .650 or better after that then let's talk.
I just think we need that star player all the good teams have. Tanking is one way we can get one. But I agree tanking is a sleezy move, I am just putting it out there to see what people thought.
