17 (?) years ago, in an A&M-UH game at Kyle Field, a guy sacked Ware and held his helmet in the air. They were honoring that guy during halftime of this game, and they showed the clip on the jumbotron, knowing that Ware was on ABC's broadcast team for the game.

That's what I got out of the radio interview, at least

Yeah Ware seem miffed about it b/c he said that it made no sense for them to show it since they weren't playing UH. He said it would make sense & be ok with it if they were playing UH and that for A&M to dig up an old (17yr?) highlight is saying they really haven't done anything since then. He thought it was classless & a shot at him personally.

This why I miss the SW conference.

    Yes...yes we all do.

I was UT undergrad and Tech grad. When in grad school and Tech played in Austin, some drunk UT frat boys followed our group and did that endlessly. As an alum, it was embarassing and I understood why many have a problem with UT.

Of course you're just kidding. ;)

Still a distant third to the sabre-rattling, cheerleader-chasing corp or the multitude of ags who chased the Mob off the field (following the revelie/hydrant re-enactment).
