I've been following with some amusement the harsh criticism that Tiki Barber's been getting for announcing his impending retirement... before he's won a championship for the Giants. I thought it would be interesting to compile a list of undeserving dirtballs or hapless players who have been so fortunate to win a championship in any professional sport and, in contradiction, to compile a list of upstanding guys and top-notch talents who have never won a championship. I"ll try to keep the master list updated. You pick who to invite to your Halloween Party. CHAMPS? LOSERS?
Hell, just look at the 2005/2006 Miami Heat: Gary Payton - arguably the greatest Rockets killer of all time James Posey, Derek Anderson, Shandon Anderson - Play like crap for us, then gravytrain an NBA title off of Wade and Shaq. Preston K. Wilson - Pretty much a microcosm of the entire Astros existence...a player achieving tons of success after playing for Houston
I know this isn't the point of this thread, but this Tiki Barber distraction mess is Exhibit A as to why the sports media today is unbearable. T.O. is Exhibit B.
