im just throwin this out there.... since the C's are looking for nothin but veterans with no rings except sheed' might as well send tmac over there so he can get it. i mean the only thing that stands out in the celtics is rondo. i mean they have kg, pierce, allen, house, moore, marbury, and now sheed. and they want grant hill too. im just saying, maybe they want another veteran. i dont know how we can get the salaries to work, i just want tmac outta here. plus rondo would be a great point guard, and with a trevor ariza, this team just gets better young talent.
The chance is slim. And I do not think Rondo is so good that we trade the big expiring contract of T-mac for him.
Please dont start a thread if you don't have any basketball knowledges. Tmac for Rondo??? Are you serious?? Really??? I meant Really???
Not a chance because there in a win now mode and TMAC'in the air but IF they would consider it we would need to take Ray Allen's contract back also.
I think you might be the one without any basketball knowledge. Rajon Rondo is a top 5 point guard in the league, he has a ring and is a very dynamic player. He averaged A ****ING TRIPLE DOUBLE IN THE PLAYOFFS. He's a rising star and would be the perfect point guard for our alleged future run n' gun team.
Right now, T-Mac isn't half the player Rondo is ... though we obviously don't know how T-Mac will respond from his injury. Celtics would laugh at such a trade proposal, no matter how badly they want to get rid of him at this point.
Rondo is the definition of a "system" player. Put him on a team that will actually focus on him, he will crash.
I'd have to guess that the comment you are refering to was about salary not ability. Rondo will make less than $2M this season while McGrady will make $23M. That difference in salary is most likely the issue that was being pointed out.
I think hes overrated... hes playing with the BIG 3.. just wait until they retire.. Rondo wont be able to do anything
then how about this? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pu5qzm get a nice soled point guard with much room to grow and an excelllent defender in battier to give pierce a rest, plus it fits under their "veteran" range. and we get an explosive young point guard with so much potential and has good defense, and im sure adleman can set that kid straight, and we get two big men, who might now be great, but will do for now. also adding sheed to the c's the celtics would want to get rid of some men. or can we try to get big baby? just throwing it out.
before you "throw it out there" put yourself in boston's shoes and think why da hell they'd wanna do this crappy trade..... dont think up something that only benefit your team, son
I don't mean to sound like an ass but before throwing up a random idea like this could you at least try and show how the salaries 'might' work... as it stands you have about 20 million in salary to make up.
