Wait a minute, here...this is a movie I had no intention of seeing (I have a rule that I will NOT see any movie starring or directed by John Travolta), but I just saw on the MTV Awards that Halle Berry will be TOPLESS? How did this escape my attention? They sure know how to get me to a movie... When does the flick come out, BTW? Someone is going to have to let us know if it's "as good as advertised." ------------------ Jazzkiller
opens tommorow. it has 13 fresh reviews and 28 rotten reviews for a low 32% rating http://www.rottentomatoes.com/movie-1108199/ ------------------
What does our local expert say about it? Hmmm. Know-it-all swirvy dude.. ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
I doubt I'll see it either. John Travolta must have gotten in shape for this movie because I keep seeing him showing off his stomach...enough to make me NOT want to go see it. Ahhh gimme a break! He's an old man! What is this some chick-flick? ------------------ "Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. Lick once and you suck forever."
I saw the movie Saturday night. It was very entertaining. Great action, good plot, good acting, and I liked the ending. ------------------
Reviews have been terrible, but everybody who talked to me said they liked it. Strange. A very strong divergence on this movie between critics and People. Can't make my mind up. Going crazy. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
Cause most critics can't seem to differentiate between significant cinema and fun cinema. No one's expecting Swordfish to be a significant movie 20 years from now, but that doesn't mean that it's not an excellent way to spend 2 hours of your time. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
I read a review on slashdot that said it sucked, and so I think I'll pass on it. It looked okay, but I think I'll spend my money on the CastAway DVD instead ------------------ blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

I have a friend who even has different words for them: he calls "fun" movies flicks and "serious" movies films. I've started to as well, but it hasn't caught on . ------------------ Lacking inspiration at the moment...
I saw Swordfish and Evolution. I thought Swordfish was kind of boring. Evolution was more fun but still not that great. The Halle Berry book scene was an eye opener though, that's for sure! ------------------ What we do in life echoes in eternity.
Great summer movie. Cool action, decent plot, sometimes cheesy. Kickass first scene. All in all, very enjoyable. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
I had swordfish last night. It was yummy ... woodgrilled, with cajun spices... mmmmmmm. ------------------ Lacking inspiration at the moment...
You know, you could just look at naked girls on the internet rather than go to a movie. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
Seriously? I wouldn't know because I only use my computer for educational purposes, and for posting on this bbs... ------------------ Beauty, was the allure that brought me close to you, Loneliness, was the bond that made me stick like glue, All fantastic images, they only are apparent, Promoted by desperate hope, That things are somewhere better. A friend of mine already sent me some screencaps of the Swordfish scene with a topless Halle Berry in it (I guess it came from a bootleg tape of the movie), so I have used to Internet to see the very naked woman who is in the movie in question. I wasn't going to see Swordfish, and I probably still won't see it at the theater. The previews didn't make it look like something I'd want to go out of my way to see. I'll catch it on HBO or something. ------------------ Houston Sports Board Film Dallas.com AntiBud.com
I think it's just a rumor, as I am in the same boat as you. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
