I hate to burst your bubble, but i'm pretty sure a dunk doesn't demoralize a team. If it did, then the Spurs would never win. B4 everyone starts giving the Rox the trophy lest just see what else happens. Swift is good decision, but he's not a hgue difference maker. If he was, Grizz would have kept him. Also people need to seperate the regular season from the post season. All of that fast break alley oop stuff doesn't go against the spurs and Pistons. Now if fans are just content with beating Mavs,Sonics, and Kings of the world, then be happy, but the only way we get to elite status is by Ming and McGrady being dominant every night and swift being consistent and healthy at what he does, not by catching alley oops. Dont get it twisted.

Thanks, LFE, for the clarification. I forgot about Badiane, who is a part of the future of this team. I did not know we could now have an active 15-man roster. I really appreciate your points on the expiring contracts, it was just that I did not know what we could do to help ourselves in this critical stage of the Houston Rockets.

BTW, our point guards would be: Damon, Mike James, and Moochie
    Shooting guards:
Sura --> He brings toughness and rebounding but he is very slow.
Barry -->He brings experience, hustle and outside shooting with accuracy.
Head -->He brings quickness but he is a rookie.

Damn, I googled to find a picture of this, but to no avail. If anyone has this picture, please photoshop him in a rockets jersey. That'd be so sweet.

I'd hang it on my wall, next to this poster:

Given how much Van Gundy has been fawning over Swift, a player much less proven than most of the other available free agent power forwards, I'd say the days of him playing only proven veteran players is over.

If Head proves he can play lock down defense, Van Gundy will find playing time for him.

I don't know why, but I really like this quote:

"They may not scare you... but they were one game from knocking us out of the playoffs. And this is a great pickup for the Rockets.

    Color me concerned."

This one also cracked me up. Those Mav Fans are so damned smart:

    "I agree Dub.

What is so different about Stro and Juwan?

And btw, what gave the Mavs trouble last year in the playoffs? Are the Rockets still planning on moving McGrady to power forward? "

ok Tigerbait .. when was the last time you saw Juwan do a tomahawk jam? lol In addition, and don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Juwan's game, having Stromile at the 4 will allow us to be ultra-athletic, and that is something that would wear out teams like San Antonio. We'd also have Dirk Nowitzki getting wore out on both ends of the floor.

Togerbait you are cherry picking (more than I did). You can find delusional homer fans and flat idiots on any board ;)

But most of the Mavs fans are VERY worried and shocked about this MLE signing (I posted lots of them, see page 11 of this thread). As they should be, they very well know they are third tier just in their own state.

One of our biggest problems last year was Age and Athleticsm, and getting Stromile addresses those issues in a big way...other fans (from the Mavs, Lakers, etc) don't know our team as well as we do, but you're right some of those fans are simply envious.

AMazing - users in that thread are complaining about their players wanting too much money. That's ludicrous because last season they had the second-lowest team salary in the NBA - only $35 mil.
