you could start a thread called "Crap", open up with a picture of elephant dung, say nothing...but as long as it's in the D&D, basso will come in and say something stupid and inevitably everyone will respond to him, including (and sometimes, especially) those coming in to respond to him just to say, "don't respond to him."

1-2 days later, said thread is at least 4 pages long and absolutely nothing has been intelligently debated or discussed.

Basso and friends are good poo flinging infotainment.

I'm more amazed at how some parties can be angry at basso for instigating when they can share an equal yet implicit role. Countering the stories he posts is one thing, but his replies are mostly low hanging fruit waiting to be swallowed.

Exposing basso's net persona is like exposing Geraldo as a terrible reporter.

There's a huge difference between the Feds and the British Monarchy.

Probably auto-erotic asphyxiation. And he was trying to write "Fred" on his own chest, the name of the apple of his eye.

Possible I guess... but doing it in some strange place in the middle of the woods doesn't seem like that much of a turn-on.

if one's particular kink is auto-erotic asphyxiation, i think where one indulges is probably the least of one's problems.

that said, i have no problem recognizing this for what it appears to be, ie some folks in rural kentucky who didn't take kindly to having the revenuers poking there nose where they don't belong (from their perspective).

i do take issue with trying to extrapolate from this some larger condemnation of right wing commentators, or the tea party movement, which has very little to do with the traditional right wing, at least as that term is commonly used by the left.

yet you had no problems casting those same condemnations on the left when a crazy woman said someone attacked her and carved a b in her face. gee, i wonder why that is. actually, i don't wonder. it's because you're a hypocritical piece of crap.

iirc, i was castigating those here who were writing some fairly disturbing things about her- not generally blaming "the left" for the (purported) attack. pretty big difference.

Go back and look at the thread. You castigated those who accurately posited that she might have faked the whole thing.

That turned out to be true. The only disturbed thing about it was the girl.

On top of that, what he chose to bold in the original post shows exactly what he was thinking.

Guys, just look at his thread title. The intent and target were clear. Now we've let him ruin another thread, not that this Kentucky event is that interesting (unless it was AEA.)

I'll amend what I said earlier, then. If those folks in rural Kentucky happen to listen to certain right wing commentators (e.g. Beck, Limbaugh), then I think that would feed into their irrational hatred/fear of the federal government and would contribute to their decision to murder government employees.

Don't know why the FBI is trying to keep this info from leaking out, it's not like it will hurt the investigation. Anyways, the man who found the body adds details.

Impossible. He duct-taped his own hands and feet and eyes? He put a gag in his own mouth, took off his own clothes (except socks), wrote "Fed" on himself, and then hanged himself in the middle of his shift? That would be the most incredible suicide scenario I've ever heard of.

I could believe it, perhaps, if he overdosed on pills or something and someone later found him and desecrated the body. Maybe.

Why would the thread (conversation) be over because investigators are looking into the possiblity of suicide?

Is your world view really so fragile that you can't acknowledge any politically uncomfortable information at all.
