0 points? Man, he's been playing like crap lately. Sura had his flash of brilliance during our win streak but he's back to his old self. Just a very average player at best, always was his whole career. I'd really like to see him step it up, but who knows maybe his injury is hampering his production. Thank god we have mike james (even though he can't shoot clutch free throws).

Considering his back is probably only 75%, you can't get too down on him. He still gives hustle, energy and emotion, and just by playing, it makes our bench deeper and keeps us out of the Jon Barry or TMac PG situation.

Man I can't tell you how much more it would improve our game is Sura could reliably shoot the ball. I've seen several times where he had a wide open shot and because he lacked confidence in his stroke he would just pass it up. Sura is a great suprise this season, if he could only improve his shooting he would be spectacular.

Sura's game is driving to the hole and run it down fast for easy bucket. He played well against Portland. When the paint is closed to him, he looks pretty bad because he is not a reliable shooter. But I love his driving ability. With Juwan out of rotation, I can only imagine that Sura's rythem is broken. Now, I wish he could calm down a little and let the game come to him instead of forcing it, he should know better as a vet. That is a bigger problem to me.

    ...faints ?

    In all seriousness -

    I like a drive first

    ...pass second

    ..rebound third

    ...shoot........ last

    point guard

he is a lot more stable than Mike (hit a clutch 3 then almost cost the team the game) James

Sura usually rebounds very well. Which means alot on a team that doesn't have any real brutal rebounders.

It's more likely that posts like this are why people don't think your opinions matter. He hasn't played at the same level as he did earlier in the season, which can obviously be attributed to his injury. He may have had 0 points in missing the whopping 4 shots he took, but I'll take 6 assists in 30 minutes any day of the week. Average player? Sura's one of very few players putting up 10-5-5 this year, plus brings a lot of other intangibles that don't show up in the stats.

By the way, making a claim like "Mike James can't shoot clutch free throws" after he has a single game where he missed clutch free throws (which every player in the NBA has likely done in at least one game) doesn't help either.

looked as if sura was favoring his injury in the heat game. just turning the ball when tmac comes off the screens. not in the attack mode that we are used to seeing from sura. not sure if this was because the heat were clogging up the middle, but sura did not appear to try to take his man off the dribble or lure other defenders in before kicking it out. i do not expect sura to put up big numbers, but we have seen him get hot. he does a good job of getting the offense rolling.....but it would be nice to see him being more assertive.

Whenever I watched, sura created..hes a playmaker. Too bad not a good shooter though. But he doesn't need to if he can create shots for Tmac and Yao and company.

I definately think Sura's injury is affecting him but I don't think we need Sura to be the big scorer when we have so many other weapons. IMO Sura is critical to team chemistry and as long as he's still healthy we need him to bring tenacity and toughness to this team.
