During the first 2 games of this series I did not shave my face and we won both games. However, before game 3 I couldn't bare the temptation of shaving so I did, and unfortunately we lost both game 3 and 4. So now I'm not going to shave UNTIL SERIES IS OVER! Do you guys believe in superstititons...if so what do you do when the Rockets play?
Game 2 when we were down 8 in the 4th I got out my TMac Celibriducks and put them on top of the TV... Tmac went off. Back in 94 when we were trailing Phoenix, Sprite had a bottle cap promotion. I bought a Sprite and said if I win a free 20oz Sprite then the Rockets would come back and win. I won and Clutchcity was born. I still have that bottle cap. Just about every other part of my life I could care less about superstitions, with the Rockets I am extremely superstitious. GO ROCKETS!!!
I always have them during the playoffs. I'm not an overly superstitious person except when it comes to the Rockets. Games 1 & 2 I watched on TNT, mainly because I don't care much for Bullard's color commentary. Game 3 I watched the first half on TNT, then switched to FSN. Game 4 I watched all on FSN. This is still a developing superstition I guess, but you can guess which station I'll be watching tonight. I know and tell myself that I have no impact on the game but I still have them nonetheless.
I make sure that my dad doesnt watch the game on my big screen TV because he is bad luck He is out of town today so the Rockets should win easily.

for games 1 and 2, i wore my tmac jersey all day around campus, and i had my beer out of a mug instead of those little plastic cups the TC charges an arm and a leg for. the jersey is on, the mug is being chilled, and now it's time to head off to campus...
In games 1 and 2 I had friends over to watch and we won. Game 3 I watched alone and game 4 i watched at a friends house. I'm bringing the troops back to my place tonight.
I'm undefeated when having a get together at my house. closest loss which turned out to be a win was the mcgrady miracle.
Superstititons. The first games I wore my Rockets road shorts, the 3rd and 4th I didn't, I'm putting the freaking shiny shorts back on tonite!
haha...my superstition is similar, except that i'll be watching FSN/51 tonight for the same reasons. the rockets always lose when i watch the game in which doug collins is the commentator
omg yes, 95 my house was cold so i bundled up in this huge orange towel, always won,we lost teh sa games cuz i went to a chick's house to watch the game and get close to her friend. this year i watched the second halfs ay my buddies house,we won the first two,i went to three and four, we lost,so i gotta bet my butt my my buddies couch. we did win just about every game this yr i went to,i had a 14 game pack with my dad. i will not go back to toyota this yr, i made up my mind
In 95, me and friends burned player cards of Utah players before Game 5, we won. We burned Phoenix player cards before Game 7, we won. We only did it in the deciding games. So, Im wondering if I should go buy some b-ball cards and burn Maverick Player cards? or should i wait? Hmmmmmmmmmm..........
You dont have to buy cards anymore...you got the internet now. Just go and print out the Mav player profiles and burn those
I've decided to stop being superstitous about the Rockets. I put too much of myself rooting for the Rockets to believe that it actually affects their play on the court. I know that if I keep on being a true fan of theirs I won't be disappointed. I was a fan for 11 years before they won their first title and I know it will happen again.
i'm 0-3 and i've decided not to go to the games anymore. before game 3 and 4, the last (only) playoff game i went to was the first of two where we became Choke City to the Suns. so yeah...here's to me watching playoff games where we blow leads in the 4th. i apologize. i will not attend any more.
If I drink a Bodington's pub ale at the beginning of the game, then we're going to win. If I drink anything else, we lose. At least, that's how it's been this series...
I'm only superstitious when it comes to the Rox as well... They don't seem to bring it as much when they wear those white home uniforms-- can they just wear those crimson and gold throwbacks as the home uniform...
